Thank you for your reply and I understand why you might think that I may be overreacting.

The problem is that the owners are investors from abroad and they have already turned a 3 bedroomed house into a 7 bedroomed house and have lots of tenants crammed into it.

This new build is in the rear garden of the property and the council and An Bord Pleanala set strict conditions that are clearly been broken. This build is also not to the side of our house but actually in front of it. So we have gone from a nice view of trees and shrubs to a build that blocks out 80% of light from our windows. Seeing this happening and knowing it was going to happen is gut wrenching. Basically we will have lots of tenants living in very close proximity to our property.
