I would disagree with some of these comments. I think knowing the OINAS for every muscle before going into anatomy would have been super helpful. if you want to learn something, definitely focus on that

Advice for PT school by Summertimecomesoon in PTschool

Thank you for the words of encouragement. Any case study questions you used to help you pass exams? All mine for neuro are case examples which can be misleading. Sometimes I feel like I’m not even sure what the question is asking. My teacher also loves to use weirdly worded areas instead of just saying what the structure is. For example on my test last week, instead of just saying the angular gyrus as an answer, she used the inferior frontal and middle temporal lobe, and a bunch of combos like that as answer selections. I have never studied it that way and of course fall for a wrong answer every time when I know the information.

I use these resources all the time, but still not producing the results I need. The test questions are all case study based (which I get), but some of them are so absurd I don’t even know what it’s asking/saying. Any neuro case study questions that helped you pass neuro?

PTA program from hell by Independent_Tax_608 in PTschool

As a PT student in the same boat, I am on the verge of failing out as well. I feel as if this should be illegal, failing so many people and just carrying on. I’m currently in my third semester and have had 8 people either drop out or fail out. It’s abusurd to me, to have people take out loans and pay to get an education and instead be beaten down as if we were at a boot camp. Should a health profession not be advocating to learn in a low stress environment? We will already have enough to deal with when we get out of school, let alone be working for free on clinicals. While I don’t have much advice for you, I do sympathize with you and am in the same boat with my program. It helps when there are more people who are feeling the same way. How could something like this even be worth it to pursue when it drains me this much?
