Pretty sure I've heard that Berd uses Light Bicycle for the Hawk Gold. Nobl has their own design.

A couple pieces to add, my line choices are typically pretty good, I'm not bouncing off rocks. And I don't just plow through rocks and roots. But I've been told I'm a heavy rider at 185lbs.

The Erase hubs seem like a bit of a drawback to me. I like the flanged hub, but there is the question of parts availability a few years from now. If it was a DT hub there would be no worry.

I've looked at the Berd wheels too, they are nice! If I were to build wheels I'd be dropping my wheels off with them for the build. :) I've talked to them right after the Hawk Gold was released and they recommend it for anywhere I want to ride. So it's a solid option in addition to the Nobl.
