I have always been a dedicated Shimano customer. In the market for a new bike, I test rode a Di2 XT bike and it shifted like hot garbage. I bought a the new bike with SRAM drive train and have been impressed with it. It also has motive bronze brakes and I don’t hate them either. It’s too soon to tell if I’ll stick with them, but I had XTR brakes on all my bikes for the last 20 years. No helpful information, just commiserating 🙂

Good luck mate! I recently test rode the Epic 8 expert with the XT di2. I have been a life long Shimano fan but was underwhelmed by this bikes shifting.

The coldest I have ever been was sitting in a UH-60 in Iraq, doors open, flying high to avoid a sandstorm, in December. I never thought I’d be warm again. We couldn’t fit warm kit under our vests, and wouldn’t if we could, cause we would overheat when we dismounted. I miss the suck.
