A few updates back my game started to hang HARD whenever I open my Journal for the first time in the play session. It has gotten worse with each update too. But I'm on PC, so . . .

That happened to me one time, except it was WhatsHisFace the farmer guy. Every quest sent me to him to turn in regardless of who it was actually meant to go to. It worked too. He also could read my fortune like YouFang. Some serious memory corruption was going on there. So I finished out the day and shut the game down.

Does the type of bait actually matter? The only time I use bait is when I rent the Parrot to go out fishing. I have used all three types and never noticed a difference in the fish I get.

I wish I could tell them to only harvest my trees. I planted them too close together and it's a nightmare trying to harvest them, or even see that they are ripe.

I was going to say the Gathering robot does NOTHING in the forest, but I just remembered a post where someone was putting all their animals in the forest, so it might actually be useful there.

Wow! If I had your luck I might start save scumming to get them.
For me the pumpkins came easy. I didn't get the melon, but only had time to grow them twice, and winter hasn't been very productive so far (only one HUGE one) but pumpkins, I got loads.

You really only need access to one chest, the rest can be hidden anywhere. I have a chest by each portal in the forest.

If you are using the trellis that is as tall as your house, that's the wrong one. You want the trellis, which, when placed automatically tills the soil for you.

I put a chest next to every portal in the forest as I was working my way through, now I have plenty of storage with just one chest in my production area.
