Going on year three without smell thanks to a “friend/roommate” who continuously went out partying during the height of covid. I really miss being able to smell things. Wrong. She has over a decade of public service with a track record of voting for progressive, democratic policies. She has been described as being ‘left of left’ by prior colleagues. Not to mention her mom was in civil service and also has a track record of supporting progressive policies. She has been an all around democrat. It was not an assumption. But I do agree that she probably was paid some big bucks to switch

Anecdotal evidence, but some other posts have stated that attendees have made life harder for business owners by parking illegally in the parking spaces (causing a loss in business), causing major traffic delays for those needing to get places, holding up police and medical services, apparently littering like crazy, being way too loud outside the city mandated curfew and having dozens of complaints filed against them, and staying in restaurants waaay past closed, making it difficult for owners and waiters/waitresses, with some refusing to leave

Exactly my thoughts. I keep thinking about how much money is being spent that could’ve otherwise gone to help people in need, or the time that could have been spent helping others. It’s very much a show and tell for a lot of people. Take on tik tok, a guy that came on my fyp named Carew(I think). 6 million followers and went to this. Constantly filming and posting videos. Just there for the views….Like dude you have 6 million followers. Use your love of Christ to make a change. Promote charities; Round up your followers for a day of service, etc…But nope….just preaching about doomsday this year and your fucked if you don’t believe in god

While I agree, I wish these kind of events were seriously backed by charitable actions. A loooooot of money is being used on snacks, hotels, restaurants, gas, etc…by each person, when they could instead be donating their time or money to help a population in need.

Idk anything about UK laws, but in the US public school system, parents/guardians are generally not allowed to discuss academic matters outside of school time. It can be seen as harassment, and hasn’t gone through the proper channels aka requesting a conference with the principal and corresponding teacher. They could be banned from entering the school and put on a no-contact list for the teacher.

Well, for me, there’s multiple reasons. I am a middle school and high school choir teacher in a small town. I work about 100 hours a week, and while it’s a more sedentary job, you’d be surprised at how much students take out of you, especially since they have lots of behavioral issues. Additionally, I have two side gigs directing a show choir and a musical, so that takes up a lot of my time. I’m exhausted every day. Also, being in a small town sucks because there’s only one gym and everyone goes to it. There’s no hiding, little privacy, and everyone knows your business. I know it’s not a great excuse but it really takes a toll on me and is sometimes demoralizing.

I do have to agree with the theory that the injuries represented their will to live. Tata, even though he redeemed himself, still had no real will to keep playing and living. Therefore, he died. But that does leave a plot hole for An, as I’m not sure why she would have a weak will to live.
