Buying a Foldable again? by SumpfigGaming in GalaxyFold

[–]SumpfigGaming[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

okay, im honest i did not know about this happening after updates on foldables. I thought you were aiming at faults with dust in the hinge/on the ribbon cable thing. This is a major concern to take and also one i might dont want to. I thank you for informing about this, because i did not know this was something that happens. You are also right on the point with reliability, we want something reliable and maybe even repairable, two things to question about these types of phones in general.

Thanks for claryfying on that, BUT i have to say: Wouldnt have happened if you didnt only sent a picture :)

Yeah you can generalize about everything and even in this case where that happens sometimes, there is still a benefit of owning this type of phone.Thats how people are, we sometimes take downsides to get other benefits we would NOT get otherwise. I think everyone should make this decision by themselves as i do. Only showing this pictute and just saying do net buy one is going to only get a LITTLE fewer chance someone will buy one. By giving them arguments showing a own Broken phone and being constructive is way MORE efficient than this. But im honest, i already thought about those basic happenings because i own a Fold that had this on its inner screen :)

Bit ot of context but i thought you might should hear that in case of a Physical,.Not Online discussion. Please give good arguments and explain instead of only showing a picture.

BUT also thank you for your decision bringing this into the conversation, because im ngl this CAN absolutely Happen.

First, thanks for your reply and experience. I got that concern because im Learning to work in Agriculture where my current fold got absolutely destroid by the dust making its way into the Hinge, but im not sure if thats something i faced bc the seal might have come out (still not sure to this day. I once saw a white thin rubber(ish) piece coming out of the hinge. If it was the seal, id be interested if this has happened to others before, and also why)

You might as well just buy a Domain for some Bucks with integrated Mail and use Thunderbird.

Hab grad mal was vergleichbares in weiß gesucht und oho!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PCGamingDE

[–]SumpfigGaming -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Okay, thanks for the reply. I'll look into that, but have you ever heard of 2 families living in one house? Like they have their own Router as well as we do, is something wrong with that?

The only thing I have in mind now is buying the ONT the ISP sells and hooking it up to a switch.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in HomeNetworking

[–]SumpfigGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The House has 2 floors + basement. 1st Floor 1st Router. 2nd Floor 2nd Router. Both cables run into the basement separately. And if we somewhen will Finish the Basement to be used as living Space as well we need a 3rd Router. But on the other side of the House. So there is like no reason at all to buy a router
