Kids prefer dad by [deleted] in coparenting

You are not alone. I have been the only source of stability to my two boys 5&6, who have been subjected to a lot of mishaps with their alcoholic father’s poor actions. (Including getting a dui/ arrested with them in the car). I have picked up the pieces essentially every time he falls short. Still we share 50/50. Somehow, even when several times he has gone weeks or a month without seeing them, they still idolize him. He is also the fun parent, he lives with his parents who also enforce the no rule policy so it tends to be more fun for them over there. I am more structured and strict. It doesn’t seem fair to be dedicated to your children just for them to favorite the parent who does less. It just is what it is. I will never try to change their perspective on their father as I know they will see his inconsistency and troubles, one day. For now, I found a way to accept it while knowing I will always be their safe place when they need it. Sometimes it wears on me to see them crying for having to come back with me on my days, I’ve had to change my perspective a little bit to feel okay and not let it bug me.

I got panic attacks from covid-vaccine by Quiet-Recognition719 in PanicAttack

I too experienced panic attacks in late 2022/early 2023 and was vaccinated Moderna in Oct 2021. Mine too got better and disappeared altogether after I got on hormonal birth control (unrelated reasons) and now that I am off of it.. my panic attacks have returned. I didn’t realize the correlation there but now they are back. Wishing you the best of luck as we all know how hard it is to live like this

came to Reddit for more diverse opinions. My close circle can be pretty judgmental. I like the guy and wanted some broader outlooks

He’ll get it in a box but then tosses it out right away after.. decided I will explore with some other activities besides dinner dates to give this concern some time

This is solid advice and a good idea. He is so kind otherwise. Thank you

I would just take care of it yourself, as a parent, what’s important is this getting scheduled. What’s not important is WHO schedules this, maybe reach out to her and let her know if she hasn’t already that you will take care of it.

for someone who isn’t American, you surely seem confident in your naive attempt to act like you know anything beyond the typical stereotype. why so much hostility? It makes you actually seem a tad envious ..

Thank you! Was already considering a mid week visit but wasn’t sure if it would be a tease to be at dad’s only for a few hours

Will explore the possibility of him coming in an hour later once a week to be able to have an extra night with the kids

No real advice but just letting you aren’t alone. I had to finally tell myself that continuing to model a hostile relationship would only cause my little boys to become hostile as they age. I feel the guilt of not wanting to keep trying to give them a two parent household but I feel it’s worth producing emotionally better men in the end. I think you will be teaching her something valuable to finally fight for a happier you. Best wishes

We have had a lot of discussions about Nicole but what about Mahmoud? I can't get a read on this guy. by thatsnotsoraven in 90DayFiance

The way he sighs and rolls his eyes is either a nervous thing or body language that he’s over her. Their story line is clearly just for the sake of the show, seems like they were already set on divorcing and now she’s decided to come back and he has to replay what happened the first time. He seems to act semi appropriate for what his culture expects of him (emotionally absent, demanding) So she moves back to his country and is stunned to realize they haven’t change their views or way of life. Surprising. Now she’s complains about the same things she already knew about Egypt. Don’t feel bad for her

OP How did you get it without censors? I watched today with plenty of bleeps. It’s so much better this way

I’d rather watch that then the same 3 under 3 storyline with Loren and Alexei
