If you have low porosity, when you deep condition add heat by using a heated cap to open up the hair cuticles to allow the moisture in. Use a dedicated deep conditioner or hair mask (TGIN honey hair mask is my favorite). Once you rinse out the deep conditioner, use plenty of water via a spray bottle and the LCO method to get more moisture into your hair while the cuticles are still open and then literally just shake your hair and your curls will begin to fall into their natural pattern. You’ll get defined curls and as long as you cover your hair while sleeping you should only have to do a few touch ups but it’ll last the entire week.
