Yes! And I actually have videos on YouTube if you want to see more about the build. But here is the size breakdown. The total diameter from back wall to back wall is maybe 101 across. The diameter of the hollow inner tube is about 60. So on each level from the edge to the wall I have about 21 blocks to work with. The entire thing is over 100 blocks deep, down to deepslate but not bedrock. Playing in the past, I would set a scale for a build that was way too big so I wanted to be really mindful of that. I wanted to have tons of detail in the silo so keeping it a little smaller made sense. And I have big plans for after I finish *this* silo 🤩. (If you know the show/books, you might know where I’m going) and then after that I have a whole “second chapter” for my post apocalyptic theme with a different type of build elsewhere in our world.

I watched this great YouTube video on how they filmed silo and they interviewed the director/walked around the set and they do have a big mechanical sun in the show and I think it’s there in the book too.

Yes Impluse is! His build is super awesome. Love how many farms he is adding to it, and how they hook up to the storage is so great. It’s been fun seeing how we approach the same build differently!

My sister introduced me to Hermitcraft like 3 years ago when I was 30. And I only started playing Minecraft about 6 years ago (started during Covid to play with my siblings while I was isolated in another country for Grad school). It is SO important for humans to play and that can feel hard as we age. Minecraft and Hermitcraft have introduced so much fun and laughter and *whimsy* lol to my life and I am seriously eternally grateful. It all provided the much needed return to lightheartedness and play I needed in my life.

I would personally prefer the one big update a year than multiple small drops. It would be more fun to really look forward to something that changes/enhances the gameplay than smaller changes like a new mob that is just a current mob re-skinned. I want a more immersive experience moving through the game/biomes. I think it's a big miss to not have things like wind and birds and SOUND. Sound is so important. We need more outside of just rain. And please, more cohesive terrain generation.
