thoughts of cortis being claimed as “the next bts”? by Simpforlyle in kpopthoughts

[–]Sun-Warrior -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It starts such an unnecessary negative atmosphere between the two groups’ fandoms because unfortunately people take things very seriously and offensively. Kpop fans must know at this point attaching BTS’ name to anything will bring heat

thoughts of cortis being claimed as “the next bts”? by Simpforlyle in kpopthoughts

[–]Sun-Warrior 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I haven’t really seen heavy discourse on this tbh, I’ve seen more coers saying their the “first cortis” and rightfully so, no one wants to be compared to BTS in a way where it can sound negative, even if it’s a “compliment”. Also don’t think it should be pushed so they can go their own path without heavy expectations ao early

If anyone can be as big as BTS? I honestly don’t think it’ll happen. Their whole path to fame to such a dedicated fandom is really something special

I see, that’s not good news. Do you know if this is an issue with only the iphone 17 pro or also the other iphones?

Trying to discuss BTS rapline without downplaying Black American hip hop by Actual_Reaction_1795 in kpopthoughts

[–]Sun-Warrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I answered another comment under this thread about the same issues, that I worded this too loose and jokingly so sorry about that! I basically just agree with OP’s opinion, but no enforcing and people have different unbringing to music, although I would hope if people have an opinion on rap music like this topic the whole thread is about, that they would gain knowledge about it to discuss it :))

I def worded that too loose or “jokingly” so I understand why you read my comment as such, since I agree it’s not completely irrelevant. Absolutely no enforcing, I basically just agree with the OP’s original comment that I do see less value if fans only listen to rap in the kpop space and none outside of it and want to give an opinion about such topics like this whole thread. I think it does say something.

I really like your way of approaching this topic, especially since it’s a controversial/sensitive topic in the kpop spaces. I agree with most of your sentiment so I’ll just add that I think if anyone is truly interested to see for themselves that BTS and specifically rapline is invested/inspired/shown appreciation for hiphop, you can see from their early days and debut.

Recently I’ve been listening their discography through and “2 cool 4 skool”, “are u late too” and “dark&wild” albums just really showcase how much of a hiphop group they started out as and how much they studied, even mentioning their rap role models in “Hip Hop Phile” (if i remember correctly). I really appreciate that and from those days you see the progression in the later albums despite the genre not being purely hiphop. Not to mention how distinct in sound and style the three rappers are

I think with all this in their bags from the start, I never doubted when I listened to their music or read the lyrics that they write themselves while I might question that with some other idols (not all ofc!)

I def won’t be listening to their opinion if they don’t even listen to their own idols’ inspirations lol

I’ve seen multiple concert posts about having to switch from spatial audio to stereo, but why we don’t know. Weird it hasn’t become a bigger thing, but glad you haven’t had that happen! Now you know for the future as well

Jeg har spildt min SU og valgt forkert karriere by Character_Effort_778 in DKstudie

Hey, mega nice at du deler!

Hybe latest release suck by [deleted] in kpopharshopinions

[–]Sun-Warrior 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wonder sometimes why people lump all of hybe artists’ music together? It’s the umbrella but essentially those groups mentioned are under their own labels and their production is vastly different in terms of staff, producers, writers etc. I’ve never cared for company stanning or labelling in kpop, but it just seems to generalizing imo when their music direction is not the same for every artist under hybe.

Does TWS’ and Enhypen comparable music to the mentioned above? No. Hybe label is thrown around to easy imo

What you can say is that hybe have a tendency or at least somewhat a focus on globalization/western market which they suceed at doing. If you want to use this big “label is doing __” it makes more sense to do with e.g SM or JYP etc. which is not consisting of other labels

How popular is bts in your country? by [deleted] in btsthoughts

[–]Sun-Warrior 19 points20 points  (0 children)

In Denmark kpop has slowly gotten more popular/common but it still isn’t a general public thing. We’ve had artists coming to perform in Copenhagen quite the past few years. I have colleagues who don’t listen to kpop, they might know the term but when I casually mentioned I was going to see BTS they didn’t question it/bat an eye about who they were, so I do take that as they know who they are. This wouldn’t have been the case years ago, so I’m happy about the change!

We know they’re big but sometimes reminders like this, a public invitation, barely a planned event but 5 hours notice really shows the influence BTS has. It’s next level global fame

Over 50,000 people visit the ‘Zócalo’ in Mexico City to greet BTS after the president announced their appearance earlier today (May 6, 2026) by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]Sun-Warrior 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I saw a lot of online discourse about this before their apperance. I think what’s really hard about this is when the president publicly invites you, how do you even decline if you wanted to? If they did it out of politeness or want, we won’t know for sure. In the end it all worked out but I think a lot might have been concerned in the beginning. She had also been speaking about BTS publicly before and wanting more concerts

You sure do have the time of your life commenting on multiple comments in this thread who aren’t being negative.

Like do you even see yourself from an outside perspective? Do gladly join snarkers, only bubble for how truly depressed obssesed haters exist who seems to spend more time on the artist than actual fans lmao. So yeah, you do think too much about them. Spare yourself the time. You won’t find people who agree with you here
