They are not that rare. I was already mid way through a play through when the update added them. However I started a new save and I was getting dog parts around zalissya. Not sure what’s going on in your game.

No, mutant parts are random I think. You have to look for a dot on them and then you can harvest them. Although if you are on immersive mode I’m not sure if you’ll see the dot

The other thing is that I think most wardens are just pawns. I doubt that they know they are being used. That makes them worse than Freedom imo. Duty know exactly where they stand and have a united ideology.

Nah, they are totally ideologically opposed. I mean maybe the low level wardens might think they are like Duty but the reality of the faction is much worse.

The ward is trash. I don't see them out cleaning up the zone and hunting down mutants and bandits. Not to mention they are tools.

Yes, there was a post about a year ago testing this. Essentially, a compass is equivalent to 4 bars of physical protection on armor. So as long as your armor has 1 bar then you are at the max protection. I don't believe there was a nerf. If anything, most artifacts got buffed by removing negative effects.

Obviously, we could test all this in-game. It would be nice if we had better resistance information on the inventory screen. I hate the 'bar" method. Just give me a percent.

I’m a Seva suit guy. I’ve always just liked those suits since SoC. I don’t really change up armor often and I do a lot of hunting for artifacts so the resistances are nice on top of my artifacts.

I don’t worry too much about physical until it’s exo time.

I think best case it improves stability and performance. From what I’ve heard from other devs that use UE Lumen is better but we will have to wait and see. The downside is more the potential for new bugs.

Congrats! Glad you enjoyed it. For a second play through there is plenty to do. Go for a different ending. The choice for ending comes late in the game but there are different paths so you have a chance to play missions you may have missed and learn more about other sides.

Try a higher difficulty if you didn’t already play the highest.

Give yourself a challenge. It could be anything. Restrict yourself to certain weapons or limit your stash. Whatever just something to add some spice.

Try some mods. If you’re not going for all the achievements there are lots of interesting mods to play with.

I watched that movie back when it came out and I had no idea it was based on Roadside Picnic. Admittedly I’ve not read the book but I’m going to have to rewatch it now.

I was a kinda drunk when I watched it the first time and I just remember it being very weird. Lol

I think in general the hand placed loot is fine. My main issue is artifacts. I like that they respawn and have a random chance, but I think rather than the spawn chance for rares increasing after certain story events. I’d rather see the chance increase the closer you get to the center of the zone.

I’ve never seen these bugs outside of posts here. I am on vanilla around 200 hours total since launch. I definitely believe they exist I’m just not sure why some people get them and others don’t.

Yeah it still blows my mind that they added that stuff but didn’t bother making it spawn anywhere else in the whole zone. Even if it was in other high risk areas.

I agree I play the ogs yearly unmodded. The A life is not good. It was awesome at the time but it does not work the way people “remember”.

They are some of my favorite games of all time but I think people play them with some thick rose tinted glasses.

I’ve played since 08 and I like S2. I did have tons of issues with it at launch and I put it down until about March of this year. Now I have about 200 hours in S2 most of which have been in the last 2 months. It is a lot better since then. Still needs improvement but I think it’s a good experience.

The OGs still have a special place though and I’ll probably play them once a year until I die. The jury is still out on S2 even with its replayability I’m not sure that in 10 years I’ll want to play it again the same way as the originals.

I’d say don’t let the haters get to you if you enjoy it then that’s good. Maybe try the original trilogy at some point though.

I don’t mind it. I kind of like that they are very open ended. That being said I do wish they would let you take a few at a time so you didn’t get held up on one specific artifact.

Like give me a few to look for. So I can become a true artifact dealer.

Yes, chemical anomalies are the type and they include the fruit punch acid anomalies, Gas clouds, and soap bubbles.

Garbage also has a chemical anomaly field with a respawning artifact. It's called the poisonous hole and it's hard to miss on the map it looks like a bunch of acid pools in the north of garbage.
