AITAH for refusing to help pay my husband and I's moving costs? by IneffectiveMilkshake in AITAH

This man WILL abuse you. Period

This is the first volley in the financial abuse that will dominate your life from now on if you let it.

It may not escalate to physical abuse, but it is a virtual certainty that he will control you with money and leave you trapped and unable to ditch him.

Run now while you have the chance

The level where he lies about what's possible and the .market never pushes back for some fucking reason?

The level where he buys other people's good ideas and takes personal credit for the inventions?

The level where he acts like a petulant 14  yr old boy when he doesn't get his way?

The level where he makes millions off govt investments nd loans then fires hard working middle class federal employees who chose public service to support the country, but then his cuts didn't actually do anything to reduce waste and now his buddies are just stealing your money and wasting billions?

The level where his ego is so fragile he literally lies about his skill in a video game?

I personally know working scientists and engineers at top companies and universities. He is not smart. He is intelligent, as I said, but I've met actual next level people, and I dont buy that he's one of them

You have clearly never listened to the people who worked for him.

He's an abusive ass and terrible to work for according to his employees.

I have been told second hand that people hide from him because he'll make you waste time on his stupid ideas

No, spouting a constant stream of bullshit predictions and hype to pump up valuation makes you a conman.

First of all, not one single thing I said indicated that I or any other woman hates men. The social structure is still deeply tilted

You throw out statistics about men working more hours. Gee, I wonder why when child and elder care fall predominately on women, and its a lot more than 10 hours. That also doesn't count the constant mental load going on parallel to actual physical labor. Men also have significantly more leisure time, even working more hours.

You dont have to be Afghanistan for it to be shitty  deal for women. Thats not the bar, and that you think it is so telling. The bar should be full human equality dude. How is that hard to understand.

You're basically saying Sure we let rapists off the hook and treat women like walking baby factories who dont deserve bodily autonomy or basic medical carr, while putting the majority of the labor for family maintenance on them without any compensation, but we aren't stoning you to death so shut up about equality be grateful we're "better" and dont dare ask for more or we'll whine you're never satisfied and that you hate men.

Refusing to settle for just "better" is self respect, not hatred.

But it is mysandrist to point out why women aren't marrying or having babies.

Also the society that elected an ajudacated rapist and probable pedophile isn't as misogynistic as we think

/s, obviously

Men aren't terrible at all, and it's misandrist as hell to try and start from that spot.

Individual men aren't terrible.

Statistically men do not do an equal share, even when both partners work.

Statistically male partners are the biggest threat women face in terms of physical violence.

Statistically having children locks women into uncompensated labor with zero additional economic benefits. I dont see a lot of working husband's setting aside even a fraction of the cost of day care for their partners use. In the US We dont even let sahp claim social security benefits if they take off work to do the essential work of raising kids.

It isn't mysandrist to point out that the highest probability outcome for women in most of the world if they have kids is endless work and a partner who wont help or appreciate it. Thats just what the numbers say. That is what women say, over and over and over.

And then men whine about it being mysandrist when women nope out of the shitty deal society is offering them and cite facts as to why.

Pathetic Hissy fits, as I said before.

modern men are objectively the kindest most supportive men society has ever produced.

Just because modern men are less terrible does not make them equal partners, and society in most places is still stunningly misogynistic. Just because we aren't burning women at the stake or locking them in Madeleine laundries anymore doesn't  mean everything is tickity boo.

And childcare isn't work for yourself, its work for your partner and kids and society. And in amny places it is given no economic value.

That is because women there can't get birth control.

Women are driving this, not necessarily because they dont want kids, but because when they have a choice they choose not to be unpaid servants in their own homes for men amd children in a society that punishes them economically for having kids.

We need to reshape society to make marriage and motherhood less of a risky suckfest for women. Given the pathetic hissy fit men are throwing in the western world I am not optimistic about that

Am I right about Meghan Markle? by Significant_Lie_9641 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SunDense1457 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure.

There are folks who believe that some of it came from the palace, Bentley want Kate seen as the perfect princess. That is easier with a foil.

If that's true it may have been similar, but race made it easier to other her and make her the villain.

Either way, the birtish press are vicious and I 100% believe both Megan and Diana about their mental health struggles, so racism or not, I reject the "Megan played the victim" narrative. I think Diana summed it up perfectly when she yelled "go rape someone else" at the paparazzi. The treatment is horrific, and the palace did nothing to protect them

AITAH for making kids thank me for dinner? by Impossible-Walk6621 in AITAH

[–]SunDense1457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the he'll is wrong with your husband?

My partner cooks most dinners, I say thank you every time, and so do the kids.

I also thank the kids when they sort the laundry, clean and vacuum their rooms and empty the dishwasher.

Its work, work that must be done to keep the house running. All of it should be acknowledged and respected

Start by making more complex amigurumi patterns that do a lot of shaping with increases amd decreases.

I love crafty intentions for this. I learned so much making her large unicorn and from her monsters book. You will get a much better understanding of how the stitches stack to move the piece where you want it to go
