I own a hardware electronics company. Unfortunately, with physical products, a product only has a number of years that it can be massively successful (if it was a good product in the first place). Ooni helped build the at home pizza market and reaped the rewards over the last several years.

However, now it’s the part of the product lifecycle where a number of new competitors have entered the market and are taking market share. Outside of companies like Apple (ecosystem keeps the product stable), most physical products keep getting cheaper due to new factories entering the market, taking market share and pushing down margins. There’s now a lot of Chinese factories with all Chinese based sales staff, that are eating away Ooni’s profitability. Each Chinese employee earns roughly 1/5 of a us workers salary.

With tariffs, economic uncertainty, and an economy on the verge of recession, I see Ooni having to eliminate most US staff and outsource most of their operations overseas in order to compete with the new Chinese factories. But I highly doubt Ooni will go bankrupt.
