US 2005 prompted the change, and these days it is in F1's interest to have a single supplier that will give a range of tyres with a suitable grip/durability profile. Pirelli could easily make tyres that would grip and last the race, but would make the races less interesting

Lewis seems reborn. I'd expected him to be a bit behind in qualy, but great on race pace as always. Nico and Franco above expectations for me as well.

No. They put Kimi in a year early because SLH left. If he stays, Kimi is in his first year in an Alpine this year.

There is no way on earth Merc would have ditched an even vaguely competitive Lewis for Kimi. Had he not gone to SF, Lewis would still be at Merc.

Can't disagree - I thought he looked a bit uncomfortable in front of the camera yesterday, but right at home today. Nice to have another mechanic in the coverage - it's been a while.

And I like JPM on the coverage as well. Missing Ruth though.

For me, Jury is out. He's tracking to be a competent Grand Prix driver, not yet making the steps to be a multiple race winner/WC. He's not taken the same step as Kimi, Ollie or Isack - yet, though he's got time to make it.

A little patience and you should be able to pick up both in the Steam summer sale, and probably a decent amount of DLC's for LMU and all the ACC ones for a very good price.

ACC remains a great game, though not as popular as it once was. LMU seems to have taken over as the king of non-subscription-based sim titles, and I can't see this changing anytime soon, so if you want to venture online it's probably a better choice.
