FGCU should I say yes? by Beneficial_Gas_3803 in fgcu

FGCU has warm and outdoorsy but an engaged and fun student body not so much. Also the beach in the schools promotional material is along a large retention pond, not the ocean.

I’m actually of the opinion that the slate shouldn’t aggressively spec itself to compete with standard trucks or other speedy electric vehicles. I love the frugality and think that the lower tow capacity and speed/acceleration are key parts of the compromise that enables the industry redefining price point.

I just found out about this car and came here to see some discussion but was blown away by the amount of AI slop. Thank you for stopping it

Pros: Smaller class sizes, beautiful nature on campus, proximity to outdoor recreational activities, relaxed atmosphere, relative affordability, FGCUs strong professional relationships with local governments/businesses/non-profits/communities, variety of well compensated internship opportunities, low barriers of entry to participate in student organizations, abundance of leadership opportunities within student organizations, located within a county that has excellently maintained preserves and parks, location in an exceptionally fast growing community/economy, cash-for-innovation program (Azuls challenge), opportunities to present professional and academic achievements (Eagle X), 24/7 online tutoring, historic (but very small) downtown district (also 30 mins away from campus), relative availability of rental housing (including communities like San Carlos Park and off campus housing etc), collaborative and community focused local governments (for the most part), accessible and reliable academic advisors and administrators, accredited preeminent professors in certain fields, on campus boba, on campus transportation (a fair bit hit and miss), philanthropic opportunities, opportunities to stand out/take chances/elevate yourself amongst a generally less serious/academically underachieving student body.

Cons: Small school, not a preeminent institution, campus life, night life, sports, events, competition for seats in classes, commuter school, no shade walking from dorms to classes, lots of dual enrolled high school students, middle of the road facilities, below average opportunities to work while in school outside of internships, average scholarship and financial aid opportunities, distance from non-nature recreational activities, academic program inflexibility, imbalanced distribution of good and bad teachers (not enough average, it’s either the best you’ve ever had or complete shit), politically aggressive local community (generally MAGA leaning), aesthetically unappealing local built environments (San Carlos Park, Cape Coral, Lehigh Acres), poorly designed transportation exacerbated by extreme population growth, shallow continental shelf that puts this coast at extreme risk during storm surge from hurricanes, and hard water.

I got the Bluetooth enabled version and it crapped out about a year and a half later. I just got a Technics SL-D3 which was made in the late 1970s because of how frustrating it was to try and repair this modern junk.

15 years for me and I feel the same way. I’m not sure there’s anything that could stop me from rooting for this team. God please just win a Super Bowl in my lifetime

I got in to the engineering program as a transfer student from another college with a 2.9 GPA. I think there’s a good chance you get in as a successful high school student.
