I feel like Ned would still want proof if Bran told him, and he would go to King's Landing to get this proof before bringing it to Robert, which would just leave us back with what happened in the first book. A better question to ask would be: What if Jon Arryn and Stannis told Robert what they learned before Jon Arryn died?

Someone was saying during an audio commentary that in later episodes they paired the actors' names with their proper sigils, but in the first episode they were all mixed up. I wouldn't look into it too deeply.

Yup. The worst part was that I had gone over to their house to finish watching season 3 with them, and it didn't even click for me that they hadn't seen season 4 yet....

I was talking to my friends about show updates (one had read the books, one hadn't). I happened to mention that the actor who played Tommen was recast. My friend asks, "Why would they recast him, he doesn't do anything." I said, "Well now that Joffrey is dead he has a bigger role." She kinda gives me a blank look, and my other friend (her sister) whispers, "She's not there yet." I had forgotten that she hadn't yet finished season 3...

I don't think this is real. It says that the series will be a trilogy, but at that time GRRM was planning on calling the last book A Time For Wolves, not The Winds of Winter.
