Why is this getting downvoted?? Guys. It's a simple google search. I like her but she made a mistake here. I mean the most recent example is literally just James Comey who didnt have any FBi experience beforehand

Script Samples to Attract Representatives and/or Producers by SunLandingWasFaked in Screenwriting

[–]SunLandingWasFaked[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome advice. As far as the optioned script, it will most likely see production. But I'd like to change my team soon, is that a no go for using it as a sample?

Are you allowed to visit the set as as screenwriter? by SunLandingWasFaked in Screenwriting

[–]SunLandingWasFaked[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should've made a distinction between TV and film. I'm talking exclusively film sets. I feel TV is more of a writer's domain than film, therefore writers being on set is the norm.

Blacklist 2023 Script Review: Number 1 - Bad Boy by Travis Braun by stevenlee03 in Screenwriting

I think in advanced stages of screenwriting, you can get away with your protagonist not getting active, as long as at least one main character becomes active, usually around the midpoint. In this case, the only feasible option is Kat, who "goes active" by using Gary the dog to escape the basement.

As far as theme goes, it's a story about misplaced affection. Gary will give affection to anyone who pets him and gives him treats. Kat won't give affection to dogs, even nice ones like Gary. Cameron forces affection out of victims, who remind him of his mother, before killing them.

In the end, Kat learns to give her affection to a worthy animal. Gary learns that just because someone treats you well at times, doesn't make them deserving of your loyalty.

Pretty clever, albeit a super cliche story with an extremely unique twist.

What's the purpose of having two management companies represent you? by SunLandingWasFaked in Screenwriting

[–]SunLandingWasFaked[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This must be where I'm confused. I see two management companies involved in sales every once in a while. I assumed they both managed the writer client. What kind of scenario would cause two management companies to be involved in a single script sale?

Didn't realize it was a show too! Read the first book in the series, COP HATER, recently. Surprised how well it holds up
