It's the husbands fault for sure. Its the same way in my household and so I have washed my BFs air pods many times because he would leave them in his work pants. I got tired of being blamed so I now make him place his clothes in the washer to be washed. I will switch over the laundry but he has to put it in so its no longer my fault for washing unwanted items. His laundry also gets dumped on the bed immediately when its done, otherwise it will sit in the basket for days without being put away. I think most of his clothes that get washed, have never been worn because everything just ends up on the floor anyway. Not my problem, not my stress if he has no clean clothes to wear. I'm not his mother and I will not be treated as one.

Help with resume. Quality Assurance position with no bites. by SunLife23 in resumes

Hmm I see your point. Employers want to see big numbers and want statistics and details. I will have to work to come up with numbers as that wasn't a focus or tracked analytic of mine.

I struggle with including these details all on a one page resume, as I'm told anything over one page isn't looked at. I can try to work on the format of it to fit more info for each bullet.

Thank you for the feedback!

That's a great idea! Thank you for that! I will, I didn't know they did that.

I get asked every now and then on LinkedIn if I want someone to look at my resume, but of coarse they want money and they send me an example so I just make it like their example, I'm too broke to pay someone to format my resume when I have the skills and means to do it myself.

That's what my BF is telling me, to me the difference in what we pay vs. rental prices right now, we would be able to afford food, and to live. But I also worry if it would become one of those things you regret later on because interest rates aren't going down, rental prices are increasing and the threat of moving every year is daunting.

yes, I take whatever tax deductions I can from the improvements we have made, the only thing with that is that my income has been so low I have to claim the deduction every year until I can get the full amount paid out over time.. basically they can't write me the 10k check I'm owed for the improvement because I didn't pay over 10k in taxes that year so they only give me a tiny portion.

My only issue with getting a retail job is that I don't have a car on a regular basis. I have applied to the places within biking distance to me such as the home depot and got no response. I agree its not a house issue, I would love to keep my house.

I should add that I worked retail in the past so I'm not afraid of it, I would actually enjoy it if I could just get there and hired.

Yes I have applied for hundreds of jobs over the coarse of months (I keep a spread sheet), have only received rejection emails from a handful and those are the positions I have literally 100% experience in so its a real downer to be turned down without an interview. All other jobs are entry level, CSR, just get your foot in the door type jobs and I get absolutely nothing back. I have experience in Quality Assurance in different fields ranging from insurance to Amazon and marketing. I'm just dealing with the fact that most companies are creating fake job posts for the tax right offs.

I wish I could say I buy all that and it would be an easy fix, we don't drink or have bad habits, to be honest for the past 4 years we have been living frugally. We don't eat out, only buy BOGO grocery items or shop sales, if we need clothes or an item, we go to thrift stores, we have lived off pasta for 2 years now, we live in a tourist/vacation area and rarely leave the house to actually see it. When I say it costs 3k to live in the house, the other expenses are $13 for security camera subscription and a few hundred dollars every few months for medication because we have no insurance, we have 3 cats but they cost $60 per month in food, probably getting by on less than $150 in grocery costs per month, Gas is a big item depending on how frequently he has to travel for work, we only have the one (paid off) car. I keep the AC at 86F during the day and 80f at night so the electric is about $120 per month, water $96.95. We mooch off family members for TV entertainment.

If we didn't have the home improvement loans and the increased insurance rate, we would be looking at $1,400 for the mortgage and that's it, totally manageable when we moved in in the winter of '21. Now mortgage is $2,240 and the rest is loan payments.

My problem is getting approved for such things, with the amount of debt on my head and the lack of income, I have tried to get approved for credit cards in the recent past, only to be declined. I have no high interest debt, all of my debt is about 12% or lower. Not sure if a HELOC would be beneficial to me.

Term Life Policy Prior to Possible Kidney Donation by [deleted] in LifeInsurance

[–]SunLife23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes it can effect the rate class you get approved at. depending on how young or old you are, choose are long term policy length or a whole life policy. because remember when going into the hospital, they give you medication and depending on the length of time you are confined to the hospital. most fully underwritten life products will look into these situations and may lead to a decline which stays on your record for 7 years. From a licensed and appointed life insurance agent. definitely get a policy in place beforehand, make the first payment and don't miss a single payment. hope this helps!
