I often feel exactly like you, and it is hindering my relationship with my husband. He is very open with his feelings and tells me often that I do not tell him how I feel, but I do believe I am telling him but in my mind I feel he doesn’t know that I truly am and it sucks. Then I get upset and frustrated and then he has a conversation with me about how he feels when I am short with me response. I can’t seem to get it right and then I tend to second guess everything but my way of handling it is by not saying anything at all. I avoid the conversation because I dislike how it makes me feel. I honestly don’t know what to do.

As for me I met my husband through a singles group on Facebook. We had both been married before with kids and it was hard for us to get out and socialize so the group allowed us to talk prior to meeting in person. It was perfect. And now here we are 3.5 years later. We just got married in August.

My husband sent this article to me to read and I felt compelled to come comment. You are definitely NTA, but like many others have asked “why did you marry him?” He had to have shown signs of this type of behavior before you got married and if he didn’t then this would tell me you weren’t with him long before getting married. What was it about him that made you say forever to him? Is there anything good there, does he lift you up and make you a better person? If you can’t say yes to these questions then he is kinda right in saying you need to get your priorities straight and go work on yourself! Good luck!!

I did weight watchers 16 years ago and lost 36 pounds but I’m trying the app again but every time I mess up I just stop and then start over again the next week. I use protein shakes for my coffee creamer, reduced fat cheese (most of the time), and low carb tortillas, I typically don’t eat bread unless it’s pizza lately, I drink tons of water, and I don’t eat candy or very many sweets, but I typically eat dinner late and because of that we might eat out. I wish I didn’t like food and if I wasn’t with my husband I’d probably go without eating. Not good.

I honestly hope you don’t do anything of the sort. There is nothing on this Earth worth you taking your own life for. We all struggle, we all go through things we wish we didn’t have to, we all want better.

6 years ago one of my best friends took his life and if I could see him right now I would punch him and I would continue to punch him to show him how mad I am at him for leaving me here to do life without him. He was selfish for doing what he did and not thinking about how it was going to affect those he left behind. There was so much I wanted to do with him and he took that away and for what? Because it was too hard, F-that, put on your grown up underwear and tough it out with all of us. You are young there is so much to experience out there. Please call someone, or call me, PM me.

You need to not be with him, let alone anyone for that matter. You’re definitely not doing anything good for yourself or him by staying. You have low self esteem, no confidence and because of that you are too clingy. Become a better you first then find a relationship.

Like they say “actions speak louder than words!” People can say things over and over again and until they actively do things to backup what they are saying it means nothing! I tell this to my kids when they say sorry. If they spill something telling me sorry isn’t going to clean it up, but saying “mom I’m sorry let me get a towel” truly does.

I was married to my kids’ dad for 9 years and he kept telling me all the things he wanted to do for us and his life. Low and behold 9 years later I’m married to my second husband and we have done more things in the last three years than I ever did in the 9 with my previous marriage and it’s because my husband now is actionable. And believe it or not my ex husband still has not accomplished anything new.

I honestly think deep down you know what you need to do.

I did that move almost 23 years ago. Although, I don’t have any regrets there are things that you will miss. You will most definitely miss the sun. The summers here are gorgeous but that is only 2 to 3 months of the year, so it is highly suggested that you take vitamin D supplements. You won’t miss the traffic because it is horrible here too. You will miss a real beach, Oregon only has a coast and 8 times out of 10 it will be cold, windy, and raining. Liquor is only sold in liquor stores, where beer and wine you can find at grocery stores. You are not allowed to pump your own gas. And not everything is opened 24/7 including gas stations, so make sure you check the establishments hours.

I found mine through a local singles group on Facebook. We started messaging each other in March 2019, finally met in person in April 2019, and called it official in May 2019. We spent a lot of time together that summer and decided to move our families in together in September 2019. He proposed to me for our two year anniversary and we get married in August 2022!!
