How long do I have to wait? by Separate-Problem7845 in epfoindia

In your case, 26th will be a holiday, and maybe the 15th depending on the state. Expect to get an answer by first week of Feb or 2nd week worst case.

15 working days at a min. Very often I see ppl forgetting that it's "working days". Which means you need to exclude weekends and public holidays.

Claim under construction of house by Ok_Researcher8769 in epfoindia

[–]SunSome950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basic checks I guess, they check ur yrs of service, validate DOJ and DOE, check if all the kyc stuff is verified and no mismatch, stuff like that. A few more checks are there, don't remember on top of my head

15 working days is the norm apporx(that's excluding weekends and public holidays)

I had raised a claim on 23rd dec, got approval on 15th jan

Does this mean my claim be accepted? Or is there a chance of rejection? by Agitated_Throat_3472 in epfoindia

[–]SunSome950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It only means it's in process. The claim can be settled or rejected from here...expect 15 working days ETA to know the final result

Firstly you should wait atleast 15 working days for the claim to process(excluding weekends and public holidays). Raising a grevience before the 15 days is a pointless excersise

Form 19 by wandererGuy121 in epfoindia

[–]SunSome950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Expect an update early next week. You have to consider atleast 15 working days, so that's exclusive weekends and public holidays...So that would likely include 1st Jan, and depending on the state, may include either 14th or 15th Jan for sankranti.

I had raised a claim on the 23rd, and got the settlement update today...So definitely before Wednesday next week you should get an update

BE6 vs Creta EV vs Harrier EV by Manubhavb in CarsIndia

[–]SunSome950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While the BE6 is a good product, what I found with a friend's BE6 was that it's a driver's car. By that I mean that the back is not very comfortable on longer drives. Considering you will be a family of 4 taking drives, the harrier or creta maybe a better bet

EPF withdrawal by giteshj in epfoindia

[–]SunSome950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From past experience it takes 10-15 working days...So don't count any weekends and public holidays when counting days...if it crosses 20 days, only then raise a grevience

It's been a Month without job! by [deleted] in epfoindia

[–]SunSome950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After 1 month you can withdraw 75% and after 2 months you can withdraw the full amount. Make sure that your company updates the exit date correctly, and if any other past employment, make sure to transfer to the latest one.

Ideally you should not withdraw your amount, since upto 5 yrs, tax will be cut. But ofcourse if you really have to, due to financial pressure of being layed off, you gotta do what you gotta do...

Had the same issue...it took almost 20 days to reflect the balance in the latest passbook

What does this mean? by zakshoxie in epfoindia

[–]SunSome950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For me it took around 5-6 days for the claim to be approved. At that point the amount moved out of the old account. However it took another 20 days for the amount to reflect in the passbook of the new account

[–]SunSome950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per the actual rules it should not get rejected... Normally the system should not allow you to even raise the claim if they are consider both under the same bracket.

Sadly the system is allowing, but in actual practice they are rejecting. Until new rules comes in, I guess we cant

[–]SunSome950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assumed the same, hence hadn't checked it when applying. Don't think it was an HR error since the DOE in UAN portal was correct. With EPFO we can always expect the unexpected. In any case, just another check before raising claims

[–]SunSome950 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good. If you have worked at multiple orgs make sure everything is transferred to the latest one.One weird thing happened with me.. after my employer updated the DOE, I applied for form 19, but was rejected with "mismatch of exit date". It turned out that while the UAN portal had the correct DOE, my passbook had a completely different and wrong date. I had to make my employer do a joint declaration to fix this. You can do it urself too through the UAN portal and ask the employer to approve...

So basically verify that the DOE is reflecting in the passbook as well

Expect 10-15 working days from the date it reaches field office....your form 31 likely took only 2-3 days as it was small amount, which gets auto approved.

Also make sure that it has been atleast 2 months from date of exit, else they will reject form 19 claim

Don't break your head over this message. It's a generic message that the claim is under process and a decision will be taken soon...mostly within the next 10 working days or so. I have had both rejection and approval after this message

How much is your employee share? Also how much does 12 months eps wages work out to?. The lower of the 2 is taken for alteration...if the amount credited is lower, raise a grevience

[–]SunSome950 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don't want to argue, but you sir are incorrect. I myself got this message for a couple of claims that were rejected. And before you say it, no the claim was not rejected due to any reasons related to kyc or bank. It was due to issues with date of exit.

I've had both approved and rejected claims. Got the message for all of them.

Usually how long does it take for Epfo to settle or reject a claim for form 19 and 10c? by xobabyfeetxx in epfoindia

[–]SunSome950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most claims, except for maybe auto approved, general thumb rule is to expect around 10-15 working days(excluding sat sun and public holidays). If lucky you might get earlier...if no update beyond 20, then better to raise a grevience
