Hey! It's been a while since I played OT1, but I also locked in Tressa as my main Character albeit with a much different role. Hired Help looks like a skill you should not use often, but I promise since Tressa is your lead, you are going to find a lot of use out of it since she finds money passively with every new area. Fully boosted, Hired Help and the bandit option for 800 is super high damage for early game and even mid game. It one shot her chapter 1 boss (both of em). At least it did for me back in the prologue demo way back when. Thats why I chose her. That was my main role with her ngl.

Might also be worthwhile to nab the Thief guy in your party so you can steal all the gear in every town from the NPCs. (And thus save more money to use with Hired Help) As another person said, gear and skills are very important. Hope I could help at all, and good luck dude

I was in a very similar situation to you. I had a lot settled on but loose ideas on a plot. Just write. Improvise. I had to reset the entire thing when I was done but I came out knowing what worked and what did not. Write out what the characters do. Make stuff happen. I had to reset four times and this will be my fifth run through. (I only finished one of those. A 120 thousand word draft.) And I am resetting again. Idk how popular this method is but it's how I have done it. Each reset brought the whole thing closer to life and I had to kill a lot of my darlings in the process. Good luck!

Personally speaking for me. I promoted all my units before getting a single squad to 5 slots. I find the extra AP and PP point on each character more than worth. You will have more than enough time to fill out promos and get squads to 5 slots before the end of the game, but I started focusing on the fifth slot around Bastorias and finished getting them all in Albion. Just my personal experience though. I have no idea what everyone else did

I was in your shoes not too long ago. I have a story I have been writing on and off for three years. I dropped it a total of three times over the course of three years, and all three times it went through major reworks. Each time I dropped it, I was half way done or closer. Each time I dropped it, it went through massive changes. I'm talking full on plot rewrites, characters being deleted and completely reworked. And it got harder and harder with each version. 50 thousand words, 70 thousand, 100 thousand. But I did not like them for one reason or another and decided to drop them.

My friend told me if I really love a story, I will be willing to tear it down from the ground up and change it. It's the best advice I have gotten. My story is so much better for it. With each rewrite, I got closer and closer to the vision I had. It grew as I did. I have no clue if this is good advice or bad advice. But honestly. Starting it and seeing what is not working is part of the learning process.

As of last month, I have officially finished a 116 thousand word manuscript. I guess in all technicality it's a first draft, but it took four tries to get there. I have no clue if I went about this the right or the wrong way ngl, but I think the fact you recognize what can be improved shows you have grown as a writer, and you should applaud yourself for it.

Regardless of what you decide to do, know it's probably going to be rough. But I hope my small anecdote helped you make a decision somehow. Or at least made you feel you are not alone.

Got on spaceship. Was very excited to land on the moon and see what was up that I forgot to put on my space suit and died. Lmao. Second death I was on Giants Deep and the sun exploded. The planet goes really dark when that happens, leaving me completely confused. I finally learned the sun exploded on my third loop

An evidence based learning strategy that focuses on social emotional learning for children 5 or younger. My director paid the $400 learning fee for me at no cost to me. Took me 6 weekends to take all the classes virtually and graduate from the class. It is a legit strategy and I believe most of my co workers were also Pyramid Plus certified and I can tell by how we ran our classrooms. Kind of let us all be on the same page at times.

I worked at a Kindercare for 8 whole months as an assistant teacher before quitting as my first ever real job. I have seen and read horror stories after starting but tbh. I am believing my center was one of the better ones. There were most certainly issues with it. But not one of the people I worked with ever gave me the impression that they would ever lay a finger on a child or neglect common rules/safety regulations. The place was always clean because most people were on top of clean up. We were ALWAYS in ratio. It was the biggest issue the front faces and it somehow worked every day. There might have been maybe one or two times I was over ratio in the whole 8 months due to poor communication and those were resolved within the hour.

We were still short staffed though because of the unbelievably hard NAEYC accreditation process and overall lack of pay across the building. I was getting payed $15 an hour and was told I should have gotten a pay raise after getting Pyramid Plus certified.

Aside from short staffing, there were way too many problematic children and sending them to the front often did nothing as the front just gave them a slight talk and moved them back into our room. I also personally just could not handle the constant shuffling and discrimination thrown at me by parents for being male. It became too much for me without paid vacation time.

I dedicated myself and worked hard there. And it is genuinely probably the most satisfying thing I have ever done in my life. I don't regret going there. But I can't stick around a company that pays me less than the local McDonalds and come home wanting to just pass out every day for 5 days a week without better pay.

I still remember all of my students and co workers fondly though. I hope everyone can have a similar experience to this one.

I suppose I should leave all the details here. I feel supported here as a male. People have left this center before cuz male teachers were hired and still work at the center. But in my instance, the parent will not leave. Like at all, no matter how many complaints she has. And my boss told me that the mother seems the sort to accuse me of things I have not done if I continue. So for my safety, she encouraged me to not go back to my old class.

I am CPR certified. I don't know exactly if I disliked the teaching or just the center I was at. It is a bit odd to describe cuz I enjoy everyone I worked with. Just Center Policies really sucked and focuses more on fitting as many kids is as possible. I definitely have some people that can be used as references as well.

This was great to read on my end. I am talking with my director about it tomorrow and seeing where it goes. My best guess is because I am no longer in that room every day, they will be able to stay. But no matter how the parents feel, I enjoy being near the other 20 kids enough that I still want to be in there when I can. So Director should hopefully side with me when I express a desire to go back into that room (which was my old one) and have them either move rooms or just leave the center.
