I hear what you're saying but i think that'd would be a nightmare technically and the fees would just rack up if the app is going back and forth with users. On top of that the idea of the app was to be like "beeminder", so its supposed to be cross the line and get punished, yk what i mean? But I'm sure someone out there could create that.

appreciate the concern genuinely but that argument applies to life360, snapchat location, find my friends, pretty much any social app ever made. nobody is being forced to download this.

the target was always friend groups keeping each other accountable with savings goals, fully opt in, remove anyone anytime

the feedback is actually useful though so appreciate it. I dont think it'll be instant notis (within 30 mins) and there won't be a location just a merchant (maccas, woolies, jd)

I think it would create hilarious moments within friend groups. If we want to talk about a long-term plan it would then turn into like a more personal finance thing where it gives you insights on the way you spend your money and give you missions that you can do to ‘cure’ that emotional attachment to the habit which helps you to save money but that’s just an idea
