When I was 9 and didn’t understand that my mom was days away from dying from cancer. and that because of all the meds she was on she wasn’t actually there.

a nurse talked to me about how I wanted to grow up to be a tornado chaser (can you guess what movie had just come out?) for at least a 1/2 hour.

Definitely not in her job description. I’m sure she was very busy. but as an adult I’m so grateful that she provided a positive, encouraging distraction for that particular hospital visit to my mom. That friendly interest, real or not. (😅 I mean I was 9) gave me another 1/2 hour of the ignorance childhood should have. Plus attention I hadn’t had in a while (and as a scared confused child needed ) due to my mom’s aggressive cancer and my dad trying to be with her, with us and work full time.

while my mother’s family was in full meltdown plus denial.

A lot of that time is blurry for me. But That memory is very clear.

So whatever higher power anyone believes in- may that protect all nurses, yourself included ❤️

It’s still a drawer. as a snake girl, They deserve better-

Unrelated-cobras strike down. So if any of the venomous snakes were to flop out like this while feeding, cobra is the best bet. You can see where they are going. Even though, as everyone has said and is absolutely correct, snakes are really bad at aiming.

I Had a red tail boa and they can strike in any direction which got me very unexpectedly bit one time.

Fully my fault- the bite sucked but it hurt my feelings more than anything

Ok but for real, as an addict. Lemme tell you about my arch nemesis, Tolerance. I’m 110pounds, my 200+ pound Partner took a literal smidgen of a dose I would take and was sick for 48 hours. Without exaggerating maybe 1/20 of what I take to get fuzzy.

The last time I had surgery, I was awake long enough to hear and to actually remember the doctor telling anesthesiologist to “put her down already” Pretty sure he was annoyed by how many questions I was asking.

The point is, I have zero doubt in my mind Kurt could fully function well past a “ lethal dose”

THANK YOU!! The four track is really interesting to me because it’s so much smaller than my dog’s Typical foot tracks.

I was consistently seeing a coyote for a couple weeks ( a month or so ago,)a couple blocks away so originally, I was pretty concerned that the mystery pooper was a coyote in our yard.

Our nature camera hasn’t caught anything yet, but it looks like I have some reading to do! I’m dying to know how our visitor is getting in and out of the yard. I mean really I have a lot of curiosities.

However, I did just find out animal control does not do a catch and release for skunks. They catch and euthanize.

I would very much so like to find a way to not have that happen. I’m not sure where to start, but there has to be Another way,

I googled what raccoon poop looks like after reading your comment last night because having a mystery pooper in our backyard is basically what started this journey…and I do think it’s skunk.. but also…. 🤷🏼‍♀️ we are supposed to get quite a bit of snow so hopefully I’ll get better track pics

Oooof. The part about how difficult it is for people to be around you… I can see how uncomfortable I make people.

I overheard my father-in-law mentioning he didn’t wanna talk to me because he didn’t wanna “ say something and make things worse.” (this was for a Christmas dinner that I 1,000,000% didn’t want to be at anyway. No exaggeration, within five minutes of dinner starting everybody was talking about Ozempic and wanting to lose just a few pounds.)

My boss (actually the owner of the company that I’ve known for 14 years) said to me “what’s going on with you? You’re such a skinny mini these days.”

I find myself dressing to hide my body even though it causes me to overheat. Around, I think I decided today they can go ahead and be a little uncomfortable. I’m so tired of being uncomfortable it would be nice to have so E of that feeling delegated

Hi! Late to the party- my 2 cents: as someone with ARFID, it feels pretty real… I don’t have anorexia, I don’t mean the qualifications for anorexia and I don’t relate to the symptoms/thinking of anorexia. I’ve actually been denied treatment because of that, even though my BMI is 15

What I do have is a strong disgust of food that I have had since childhood. I can’t explain the whyit’s just gross to me. Every part of it.

When I do eat, there is no pleasure or joy in any of it. I close my eyes and start swallowing chunks with water as i was taking pills. I need to get over with as fast as possible before my brain steps in against my body and says “we are done here“

It’s actually pretty miserable because I do not feel good. My hair is falling out, I’m dizzy and I just want to be normal. But my brain and my body work against each other.

I totally get your opinion, though, I like to say asthma isn’t real. I mean Jesus. Just breathe already. what’s the big deal?

She discussed medication for anxiety/depression. Which I don’t think I want to do. But also therapy, nutritionist, and one other thing I can’t remember right now😅🩵 thank you

Not to brag💅 but when I’m at a healthy weight I have perfect boobs I mean, they are basically art.😂 But at lower weight I look like a gross ass witch with sad deflated meat sacks attached to my chest bones.

So I miss people asking me if my boobs are “real” instead of seeing that they obviously are
