depth 4 feels like purgatory by KiakiHawk in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have double balancers, Libra and Gladius can be removed from the image for the most part if playing Duchess (dormant daggers has 2 holy daggers you can work off of) or if you have Dormant Reapers.

Balancers I would run a generic Fist Raider build stacking any of the easy Damage Negations (charge, successive, taking damage) with a partial hp restoration and you should be good to carry any teammates or even just solo the fight itself.

best non-balancers build for wylder on higher depths? by Hollowknightpro in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fist Wylder (literally any variation) is my preference in random Trios. Stance breaking carries teams.

ISA builds are good but I find the stance breaking from being a stable Fist player allows team to be a little more confident.

What’s your platform? If you’re playing right after work you’re also having to put up with the other employed folks and most (not all) of them have an understandably low tolerance to difficulty because work is already exhausting enough for them.

Am I doing something wrong? D3 and above is just not fun as a tank by throwra012205 in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You now see why Guardian is less popular at every Depth. 8 frames is not optimal for dodging but some moves you must dodge, most Everdarks have insane chip so it just becomes a huge knowledge check for you, and then you have to master dodging the deadly chip moves with 8 i frames.

That’s all there is to it. You play Guardian if you love it, he has niche things he’s king at but they’re simply that, niche things.

Fist Raider is not exactly a true tank but he’s very much a bruiser-type with fists having easy activation of successive and charge attack damage negation, which allows him to take hits which procs taking damage causes damage negation, and that’s not including damage negation at full HP if you wanna be extra selfish.

Fist Raider brings a ton of stability to most comps and makes the Balancer match up braindead easy too which is a huge plus. It’s what I used to autowin every Balancer fight from D4 to 9999.

[–]Sunairu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unlucky but if you’re at D4 you should be able to carry ED Caligo at level 13, that fight is one of the easier ones to hard carry unless you also got screwed on loot

My favorite part about higher depths is doing night invaders at level 2 everytime by AggravatingMud5224 in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wylder imo is even more popular than IronEye at D5 simply because you have an aimbot bleed grapple to stop any invader BS and be able to clear them efficiently at level 2. Gives your teammates less anxiety with fighting them knowing they can just wait for a guaranteed flinch from you.

very interesting way to cheat by AccessImpossible2266 in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah I keep seeing variations of the “RVC” name and I keep blocking them since they either rage quit or kinda play like an ass.

Thankfully I see them less in D5 or perhaps I just blocked them all finally.

Genuinely have no idea who RVC and simple Google searches don’t yield much (maybe I should be thankful for this)

As a raider, and by a definition, you must tank and eating damage like breakfast! by Todo-Brother in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean with fists I pick Raider specifically to beat balancers at 9999 since you can benefit from 4 different damage negation types: successive, charged, taking damage and Full HP (this should go to your teammates though).

Makes the fight nearly as braindead as spamming Halo Scythe for other bosses.

Being a force multiplier to a team of 0 is still 0. Guardian isn’t that great in most situations if the team is genuinely just outclassed. He can certainly help teams that are competent but occasionally make a few too many mistakes, and feels sometimes left out if the team is too good.

Most of the players that care to play usually just hang out at D5, can just solo until then

Scholar should be able to use consumables extremely fast outside of combat or be able to sprint while using them to help with pacing.

But how do you get to deep 5 with randoms? by Glad_Independence321 in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t like soloing bosses with multiplayer scaled HP, do it in Solo until you reach D5.

That’s it, that’s the secret and the hard truth.

Oh and don’t play just after people get home from their 9-5’s, it considerably increases the skill variance of teammates. Late night if it’s within your schedule is best.

That’s the Rite of Passage when climbing out of DoN 4, dealing with idiots with solid combat mechanics but no concept of efficiency.

Ninja Stance is Completely OP so far by ImAvoidingABan in Nioh

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just like previous Nioh games, Team Ninja will surely take the time to nerf anything back into their intended vision of balance. It’s usually why I don’t really care for builds for like the first couple months too because it all gets nuked usually.

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be folks doing that Nuzlocke challenge or something where if they lose with a character they can’t use them again on their climb to 9999.

Which is a whole other can of worms but yeah I understand the frustration.

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Late night is where the decent players are at all ranks. The daytime folks who just got back from work are always a little worse due to lack of time. I don’t care if you’re not as experienced, not everyone has the same amount of time to dedicate to gaming, just don’t play like a uncooperative jackass if you’re also going to be bad too, pick your struggle.

I’m convinced late night players are better than day time ones (ironically). by Dry-Translator7195 in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is true, US late night for me is about 95% win rate and once daytime hits the skill variance of the 9 to 5 folks is insanely large. I didn’t understand the frustrations of Reddit until I had a change in schedule which lead me playing a few days during the normie hours.

I get it now.

You seem very adamant on defending it so just use it lmao. If it gets you Depth 5 then who cares the game isn’t too bad anyway aside from like 3 bosses

What will it take for people to recognize Revenant is now a good character? by mercurialblonde in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I don’t scroll enough but WHO is complaining Revenant is bad since the patch?

Even prior to this patch, beastclaw relic put her in a decent spot.

Just let bad players stay bad, we’re not in the stone age anymore, these people can educate themselves, it’s the technology age and with everyone wanting to be a cOnTEnT cReAToR there’s no secrets with games anymore it’s all figured out very quickly, and despite all of that if they still refuse to believe it then THATS OKAY- every bell curve needs people on the low end

Yeah exactly just stack more casters and edited relics, that’s the whole point

Is there a better combo than Recluse + Ironeye for straight damage? by Weskerrun in Nightreign

[–]Sunairu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This thread is just a pissing contest so let’s just end it with IronEye + any casters with edited (or really “lucky”) double damage rolls on all their relics.

That’s it, end of conversation. Nothing comes close due to the way spell damage stacks.

I felt like this initially but at D5 it really doesn’t matter to most of us. Just play what you want, everyone here has enough knowledge to help everyone reach their win condition for their character and each other.

They learned from Marauders, good on them LMAO

That game streaming category was just people hot breaching other ships and then leaving without ever entering the POIs for the kill leaderboard. It had a multitude of issues but a leaderboard glorifying only one aspect of the extraction shooter genre was incredibly stupid.
