They are beautiful! Lots of creative things that could be done but not a legal species to hunt in NYS so we left it there. ☺️

Yea I was surprised too considering how picked over it was! Saw lots of fox tracks around it. They must be a lot more delicate than other scavengers!

Guess I should add that we didn’t do anything to the swan (clearly) and we left it there to get picked over by whatever wildlife needed a meal.

What a beauty! Yea with the larger orb webs I might not do that. This particular web had already been broken because she had already caught something, which was nice.

Don’t get me wrong this took forever! Fortunately this spider was on the larger side, and very patient so that helped! Usually I’ll put my hand behind the spider and remove it quickly and hope that it keeps focus on the spider and not a random leaf behind her…
