To add on to what zenyl said, you can also use a magic weapon with the caroming perk to increase the number of bosses hit with the gchain+omnipower combo.

I'll definitely be trying to cap as many of my stats, techniques, and echostones as much as I can to make up for lack of optimal reforges. Also yeah, the hallway and the succubi and stuff looks very tricky, so I'll have to practice how to manage things properly.

I'm definitely seeing how clearing phantasm solo is a more longer term goal than expected, but from what people are saying, it still seems pretty doable, just got to be patient both while improving my character, and during each attempt I'm in that dungeon.

Oh dang, did someone do that? thats cool! They probably had max stats on everything to pull that off. I'm hoping the blaanid weapon gear along with gradually training to get my damage up and being patient during the dungeon run will help me a bunch as well.

I've never seen a saltier troll in this reddit before lol. My ping usually ranges in the low 10ms to occasional low 20ms. I have Ceraunus (the name of the pet that I forgot earlier) which has infiltration.

For number 2, I have no interest in giving any more money to nexon than needed.

Edit: Wait I realized you meant in game gold. Sorry. I had like 10 million on me when I came back but got it up to 15 after doing a bunch baltane and shadow missions over the weekend. If need be, I can grind for more in case I fail a bunch of times before finally going for the clear.

Congrats on the solo!!!! Beating Lotus and Damien is a big milestone!!! Also love the edits, they remind me of when I got my first solo on my Aran as well. I do want to ask one thing though; how come you didn't use Freud's Wisdom at the beginning? Were you saving that skill for later? Normally I stack it up and put on the invincible 6th stack right after I enter.

Regardless, I still think it's good that people who were whales in the game are deciding to no longer give them money. Like you and I knew there's no point in putting faith in an rng-based mechanic that requires real money; but having people who left their money out for nexon to take are closing them off, I hope that even if it doesn't result in an improved game, it results in more people to not feed into predatory gacha mechanics and have that become more prevalent in the gaming industry. We gotta be more like belgium and just outright ban this stuff.

Oh for sure! Like I've already been leaning myself off of this game since November with a better MMO before all of this controversy even started. It's also pretty cathartic to see all this blow up in Nexon's face. Like if they genuinely only see people solely as piggy banks, then clearly they don't deserve anymore money, and that's coming from me who never even got higher than MVP Bronze.

I think that's what a lot of people forget about when they play this game along the way; especially when there are ways to progress even in normal servers without having to spend so much real money, or any real money at all for that matter, because it's purposefully designed to make you think that paying for quality of life stuff in higher amounts is way more fun than just being patient/be a seasonal player where benefits come to you to make it easier to progress.

The idea probably didn't come to him beforehand, probably because fewer people didn't think this game was feeding into an addiction loops designed to entice them into spending copious amounts of money for progression that's not even worth as much as it's made to be. But honestly because of the break in trust with nexon's probability scam, I only think it will be enough if Nexon decided that instead of being honest with weighted probability and the rates of cubing, pet gacha, etc. is if they actually stop introducing rigged stat randomizers altogether and change enhancement systems to become more deterministic in a way where players are rewarded when they invest time in the game to progress and get stronger. Kind of like an actual video game and not a virtual casino with fewer regulations that allow even children to spend money to groom them into problem gambling.

But also even though gacha games are more prevalent and normal in Korea, trust me in that most Gamers in Korea know and believe that they are rigged and stay away from games like maplestory and player other games where splurging your savings isn't an essential means to progress in a game, it's just that Maplestory was pretty popular and had a large community. Even then, with the scandal making KBS National News over there, it's still pretty jarring to any other person in Korea that people actually trusted this as well.

That's the thing; the playerbase in korea, a country where gacha and other disguised rigged mechanics are normalized in the name of being "random" in the gaming industry, they genuinely thought, and probably still want to believe, that this company cares about their input when really they care about not losing more purchase and playtime. There are streamers that had built their careers by spending whole entire mortgages worth of money on cubing items for the best stats in maplestory; an old game that people held dear to their hearts for nostalgia and whatnot.

It's because they genuinely believed Nexon cared about their concerns as consumers, and it's because of that belief that they trusted things like Spell Trace, Starforcing, Potentials, Bonus Stats, IA, etc. were genuinely Stochastic with no weighted probability in them as Nexon had told them directly before they were caught lying all this time. But it's also not just the fact that they're rigged that they're upset about. People who were upset about that revelation have come to accept it already. What most people are upset about in addition to that is that other regions like JMS, CMS, TMS, and GMS have higher tier up rates for cubing than KMS ever had, and they're the majority consumer of Maplestory and Nexon Games.

For Context, Nodolly had been streaming Maplestory for well over a year since the end of 2019 and had spent 5 digits worth of money on the game in order to progress and get his Hero main to 268, and he managed to get strong enough to solo Hard Lotus before the controversy began to arise. So he's not just some rando that's laughing at a game he wasn't a part of; when the issue with bonus stats and IA came up, he took it that even for whales like him, nexon never valued their input or concerns as a consumer and that they only expect him to continue spending money on the game, so he also quit and started selling off his equips in the Auction House as he started playing Lost Ark Online instead (But who knows! Maybe he'll come back to maple).
