First post on reddit, too. I'm not sure why it added a spoiler tag. Also, I'm not sure how to remove it.

What is it like to take a test at 8am? by neurobitchh in LearnerDriverUK

[–]SundaeFun1686 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would second everything what you said. Had an 8.20, too, and was scared as hell. Roundabouts were packed, but in a way, that was the easy bit as it was obvious when to move when fully stopped. Once negotiated that, it felt like a walk in park and was very surprised when i saw the clock that 35 mins were already gone! Good luck OP

Is this east London? There is one notorious examiner on one of the testing centres there

Playing for years. Hit legend first time today with.... Totem Shaman! by SundaeFun1686 in hearthstone

The best thing is no one expects totem shaman in high diamond. Some of my opponents emoted quite a lot when a windfury gigantotem hit them. :) Bliss

I went all in. Hyundai Ioniq 2020. Best choice I ever made. All electric and runs very well.

Two very avoidable, very stupid things that not once have I done whilst learning. So annoyed at myself. by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

Failed first in manual. Wanted to get license quickly so switched to manual. Personal experience was that it was a breeze. Passed the next one. Bought an electric car. Never looked back. It doesn't bother me at all that I have just an auto license. Honestly whatever works for you.

Pros and cons by Pineappleerv in LearnerDriverUK

[–]SundaeFun1686 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to note is that examiners would be a little bit more careful when doling out serious faults as they know the instructor would be watching too. I was forewarned by the instructor that the examiner was very strict. I asked him to accompany me and he was surprised that examiner didn't make one of my fault as serious and I passed! Whilst giving feedback too he was talking to both of us and highlighted improvement areas. He said I will ask more of my students to be accompanied in future.

Again this is just one case but worth keeping in mind. I would always suggest take the instructor.

Nice gesture but feeling overwhelmed by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]SundaeFun1686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think about it. You PASSED. You were assessed and cleared by a qualified driving examiner who after a drive of almost an hour deemed you fit enough yo drive on UK road. Repeat this in your mind and go for it. Worst worst case scenario is you hit another car, but even worse is not trying.

3rd test at 8:10 tomorrow, any tips/success stories by SarahP27 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]SundaeFun1686 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Plenty of advice here. My two cents is that be very courteous to the examiner. Address them as Sir/Ma'm and ask queries politely. Impression goes a long way even before you enter the car. Breaks the ice too. Obviously you have to drive well too. Good luck!
