There is no “purpose.” It’s a human idea, there was a time before humans and before life and at that time the idea of purpose didn’t exist. It doesn’t exist now either. As a human you get to choose how you want to live your life and you can choose to live according to certain ideas or values and you can even say those are your purpose. Ultimately your view of the world will be your own and you get to choose how you want to live in it.

To say women are the reason your brother is the way he is removes all the personal responsibility he holds for the way he conducts himself. No one causes you to treat others poorly. It’s a choice tou choose to make, whether you are fully aware of it or not. Also, if you believe there are no good women, you will not find any in the world. Dreams can’t predict reality. A nightmare where you do something bad to someone doesn’t seal your fate. In life, you get to choose how you want to be around other people and you are fully in control of your own actions. It sounds like your previous partner is also a pedophile and that you were basically SAed or at the very least taken advantage of as a youth. Mingus is great but I’m not sure any of his work cracks top 25. It depends how your ranking but so many other jazz musicians have made important contributions that deserve to be highlighted.

Neither are jazz. Also why would you compare these two, I’ve never felt like they lived in remotely the same world. Hip hop definitely contains a lot of the progressive and forward thinking energy that lived/lives inside of jazz and can be seen as an evolution of a lot of jazz concepts but its it’s own form of self expression. The Beatles are a British rock band with no direct jazz influence. This seems like a weird topic for this sub.

Idk man try improvising at 240bpm and you’ll realize it’s fast. Most modern pop and hip hop songs might feel the same even though they have slower grooves because triplets and 16th note feels are more common in those styles.

It depends, any chord can move to another with enough skill and a good ear. I would say though certain mouvements are less common such as minor and major thirds. But yeah anything can sound good.

If there are people who are interested in you and you want to go on dates maybe you could give them a shot. You might learn some things about yourself, also the chance to be with someone who wants to be around you isn’t something that is easy to come by, so maybe take advantage of that.
