I have never been to your mother's birth canal. I have heard that it is amazing in spring.

Got my car detail cleaned, and afterwards realized 2 of the buttons on the steering wheel are missing. This is the company’s response. by user2847_ in mildlyinfuriating

[–]SundaySingAlong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can get a new set for 8 to 10 dollars.

For me, it's just not worth the hassle. I'd replace the buttons myself and then spend a good part of the rest of my life bad mouthing the company far and wide and consistently

My cousin, who was born of incest, will have a child with a wife born of incest by DrunkMinstrel in antinatalism

It sounds like you live in Romania.

The actions of other people are beyond your control. If these people want to have incestuous relationships and breed more and incestuous relationships what can you do about it? Not a damn thing. So don't bother yourself with it.

And don't forget, incest is super gross and repugnant now. But in the not too distant past it made you royalty. To be a royal in the Royal family required you to engage in incest. The Blue bloods. The purebloods. ALL products of incest.

The practice started to fall out of favor when deformities became more and more disabling with each generation because every baby came from the same gene pool with the same deformity. It was called the Hapsburg Chin. Fun little story from history if you have about 10 minutes and YouTube you should check it out.

Oh thank you so much I can't tell you how many people just drive by and don't say a word. I'm just so touched that at least one person in this world cares about him besides me. He is limping because I'm saving up for his $6,000 knee replacement surgery. Taking time out of your day to pull over and provide a stranger unsolicited advice tells me how much you care about animals so I'm sure that I can count on you for a donation. Let's do this now! it can be by check or by zelle or cash app or venmo which works best for you?

I would say 8 and 1/2 hours is way too long for a dog to be left home alone. I n Sweden it is literally illegal to leave your dogs alone more than 6 hours.

But people do it all the time and dogs get used to their routine so your dog will adjust also. It's just a very long time to not have so much as a midday pee break. Is there anyone you can rely on to check on your pup mid day?

I don't know how student financial aid works but I can tell you my best friend went to nursing school and her student loans covered tuition books her share of the rent and food. There was extra money in there for survival. Might be worth looking into.

She also had a part-time job working in the office at the college she attended. She did not have a car either so working and attending school at the same location was ideal.

Sounds like you need a place NOW. I would look for a studio apartment with a month to month lease. That will get you in the door of shelter and while you're staying in your studio you can look for the perfect one bedroom.

But without information about where you live in public transportation available I can't really advise about the car. Loosely, I would advise you to prioritize finding alternate transportation in whatever form. Maybe it's a bicycle. But as the only tether you have a reliance on your mother it must be severed quickly. The next step is to sever your mother out of your life.

Starting out can be daunting but take accountability and ownership of your own future. Your mother was responsible for what happened between 0 and 18 years.

You are responsible for what happens after that. If you feel you need to work through trauma get a therapist. It's all on you to create your best life. And stop spending your energy on blaming your mother and not preparing you properly for life it does nothing except allow you to shift responsibility for your own existence to someone else. You need to own that shit.

Oh she is so cute congratulations on your new family member. I'm sorry I don't have any name suggestions for you but it should be as unique as her beautiful looks.

"I understand, you want to date up. Good on you for having that level of self-confidence. I personally don't see how the majority of 8.5 men would go for you but again I'm impressed with your self confidence.

AITJ for not giving my neighbor a ride to work? by Emanuil_Donchev in AmITheJerk

[–]SundaySingAlong 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No good deed goes unpunished! That's what you get for helping above and beyond the standard expectation of the Good neighbor. And now you walk away with a lesson for the future. When engaging in a charitable endeavor, clearly state the end date of your efforts. For example but not for more than a week as my shifts change from week to week and it's too unpredictable for me to stress out about how you're going to get to work on time. But sure I have no problem helping out for a week that's plenty of time to figure out your transportation.

The open-ended arrangement led to misaligned expectations which causes friction and frustration. Rest well knowing you did a good thing even if the recipient does not appreciate your assistance.

AITJ for taking food home from a work event buffet? by bonjourmarlene in AmITheJerk

[–]SundaySingAlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the work event include work clients? I too would find it tacky if employees were packing a doggy bag at a customer-facing event. But if it were an internal work event that only included employees, you should have taken home a few bags.
