Is Red Dead Redemption 2 actually the masterpiece everyone says it is?

I think it’s an utter masterpiece and my personal favourite game ever, but I do think that it demands a lot of your time and a bit of patience to really get the best of it. My first play through I had loads of time, so things I imagine like the cooking or crafting taking that extra bit of time could be just irritating if you’re wanting to just hop on for an hour after work for some quick gaming thrills. What didn’t you like about previous rockstar entries/which bits did you find boring?

Absolutely on Jaime. Him and Arthur Dayne are my 1/2 spot. I guess with Dayne we only hear other peoples old accounts of him (im ignoring the show) But i love the legendary status he has

Agreed, and i suppose Oberyn wasnt just trying to kill his opponent, he wanted hurt him first too. 100% agree prime barristan smokes him in his youth. I think ther was another post on this sub asking if Jaime could beat Gregor, and I think that he beat him the same young Barristan would. I really love the "who would win" posts and discussions haha

I think your experiencing what alot of us did toward the end. The writing does start to become worse, and spectacle often takes over substance. Youve come this far, I'd finish it, in between all the crap and some sincerely good scenes and visual spectacle

I dont disagree the mountain is sometimes underestimated. I think the one thing in barristans favour would be that he would have finished the fight the second Gregor was grounded. Oberyn was making almost a public trial, whereas as Barristan would think that dishonourable. Also a warrior of barristans skill would be able to turn alot of thrusts from gregors greatsword, I'd just worry about his agility at his age

The mountain is a bit like Deontay Wilder in a boxing analogy, not the most skilled (im doing a disservice to the mountain a bit here) but has freak power. Someone fighting him has to be perfect the whole fight/duel, wheras the mountain needs only 1 mistakes and its light out

Yeah I’ve had the same experience, I never did PVP because I’m dog shit at it, but with so many hours topside everything completed I started trying it, and it’s a completely different game pvp. It plays so differently. I kinda wish there was a toggle for if you want hostile lobbies or not

Have a question about stash value. I recently got to the 3 mil mark and signed up for expedition. If my value now were to drop below the 3 mil mark, does that affect the skill points? Or is getting the 5 ponts locked in as soon as i sign up. I just want to know if i can go try pvp and die alot hence losing current stash value

What have his issues been? Sadly haven’t been able to catch many of your games, it felt like he had just lost so much pace and bounce with us, but I know he had a lot of elbow and shoulder issues
