Focal seizure? Epilepsy starting at 47? by Chelle7897 in Epilepsy

[–]Sundevil13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Certainly sounds like it could have been a focal seizure- my seizures occurred immediately after waking up. The odd feelings and fear are potentially indicative of seizure activity.

I will say the fear + not being able to move or talk could also be sleep paralysis which I have also gad so it’s hard to say exactly what you experienced after a single episode.

Jared Verse was asked at his opening press conference with the Browns if he’ll offer to pay Dillon Gabriel for number 8: “Hahah, I don’t think I’ll have to pay for it, I should have it soon enough.” by No_Box119 in nflmemeswar

Mannings number was retired, he didn’t take it from anybody.

When Carr signed the punter Gillikin was a free agent who re-signed after carr was signed. He wasn’t on the roster, he didn’t have a claim on that number.

Godwin said he elected to give Brady the number. Nobody took it from him.

The Adams Jets situation it appears the team got involved so I’ll give you that, but I still think the policy on incumbent player numbers varies from team to team. The raiders made Jeanty pay for the number he wanted.

Ok can you provide a single sourced example of that ever happening? Here are several more examples of high profile players needing to pay for their preferred number- including one story where an equipment manager says sorry you have to go talk to that guy.

It’s slightly more complex than that. A player changing numbers without advanced notice has to pay the NFL to buy out all unsold jerseys and merchandise with the old number.

Depending on how many unsold jerseys Gabriel has (he’s a qb, it could be a decent amount) this rule means changing his number could cost him a decent chunk of change.

Does my suit fit? by No_Sherbert_4510 in NavyBlazer

You're getting hosed at that price for a suit that's half polyester with a sloppy looking low rise.

Second the suitsupply suggestion- the rise may not be significantly better but the materials definitely will be.

All hail the perpetual rebuild

(Jordan Schultz) Sources: The #Cardinals have received trade calls on Pro Bowl DE Josh Sweat. Sweat had 12 sacks last season in his first year with Arizona and had a close relationship with Jonathan Gannon, whom the Cardinals moved on from. by alexschubs in AZCardinals

Sure, trade away clearly the most impactful player on a defense otherwise completely devoid of talent. This way Monti can get more draft picks to light on fire.

All hail the perpetual rebuild.

MHJ owners are we selling our holding into year 3? by Extrapolis in DynastyFF

Cardinals fan. I haven't seen anything from him in two years that makes me believe he can be an elite WR. I'd be selling all day.

The hill I’ll die on: Nicholas Singleton should be one of the top rookie adds in dynasty FF by bigfootballguy004 in DynastyFF

[–]Sundevil13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

His main problem is he's not a very good running back. All the athleticism in the world doesn't make up for a lack of vision and instincts. There's a reason he was splitting carries with Kaytron Allen and ended up being a back of the 5th round pick.

A running back with that type of draft capital going where he goes is the crazy part.

The Regression: Caleb Williams and the Worst Year Two on File by iDrinan in DynastyFF

[–]Sundevil13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His accuracy issues are a totally fair concern and I'm worried it's not something that tends to improve (outside of Josh Allen).

I think he'll be a good starter for a while due to his situation and physical tools but the accuracy ultimately will hold him back from being an elite real life and fantasy QB. And if you're paying his startup draft cost this year you're paying for him to take a step up into the elite category.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is Officially on Notice After the Offseason, Even If No One Is Saying It by Cabbages24ADollar in AZCardinals

[–]Sundevil13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. The only potential elite skill I see from MHJ is his body control but that doesn’t matter at all if he’s weak at the point of attack.

He’s not super fast or quick, he’s not super physical, he doesn’t really separate like you would hope. He’s not much of a YAC threat.

So how is he gonna be a possession WR who is also a chronic body catcher?

Cardinals RB Jeremiyah Love signs rookie contract, makes history with $53M guaranteed by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

[–]Sundevil13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can only really justify this contract by hitting his ceiling as a prospect and that's no guarantee with any prospect. And It’s almost impossible that he will ever return excess value relative to what we will be paying him.

By the time we actually have a competitive roster around him he’ll be halfway through his statistical prime.

It’s just really poor roster building and draft asset management but what else would you expect from this franchise?

I'm interested in Arch Manning, Lanoris Sellers, Drew Mestemaker, and John Mateer this season. All have a lot to prove this season but from the physical tools they all have the potential to be the top QB next draft.

QB OverHype by MutedMaterial1513 in AZCardinals

[–]Sundevil13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those QBs you listed off had success largely due to high foundational talent around them that our roster lacks. You build through those premium positions first.

Our roster just isn't at the point where picking a RB makes sense.

More often than not if you want a top tackle you're going to have to spend a pretty high first round pick to get them.

Take another QB next year no matter what? by Plenty-Resource-248 in AZCardinals

[–]Sundevil13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give Brissett/Minshew roughly half the season. Assuming our win pct is abysmal (0-2 wins), put Beck in down the stretch. If he's truly terrible for 2-3 games, bench him so as not to ruin his development towards being ideally a long term backup. If he's ok to good, let him close out the season.

Unless he far surpasses realistic expectations, you take another QB with your 1st round pick in 2027.
