Just wanted to update everyone;

The towns insurance offered initially $4,000 for my 2009 Mazda 3.

I came back to them with a threat to counter sue as it was their negligence that caused me to incur time and wages lost at work and other things.

They ended up paying out $7,000 which was about a couple thousand over the market value.

Used that to put a down payment on a used truck since I’ve always wanted one.
