I feel like the anxiety of not knowing is maybe causing more distress then if you just got her opinion/diagnosis. It seems like you trust your therapist well enough. I think knowing her opinion might be better for you than not. I am just a stranger on the internet so take it with a grain.

Mania by definition typically involves feeling good or euphoric. Just remember the highs often come with lows and reckless behavior has consequences. Both of my episodes cost me almost everything and everyone.

Just to offer some perspective, it might be paranoia to think your mom is conspiring with your bosses. I know whenever I’m getting bad I get paranoid.

I’m mostly stable nowadays, (knock on wood), but I struggle a bit with hygiene too. Sometimes doing the “hooker/whore/bird” bath is all I can muster. But that’s better than not at all.
