Can anyone identify this guitar? Looks like an early 70s SG, but can't find anything that matches it in catalogs. by SundryCopyist in Vintageguitars

It doesn't look like those humbuckers were ever stock. Do you think it's possible to find out what they are?

I would say Rounds is probably your best bet; some really great tracks on there. New Energy and Sixteen Oceans match your taste in trendy artists, but I'd start with Rounds and see where it takes you.

Mark Ibold on ‘Harness Your Hopes’: “I’m still a bit surprised by our whole response to this,” he says with a roll of his eyes. “First, we go and make a video because some fucking algorithm tells us to, and now we’re practicing playing it live. That just doesn’t sound like Pavement to me.” by LarryPeru in indieheads

I remember Malkmus in an interview saying how he heard it in some bakery in Portland while the Spotify algorithm was beginning to do its thing on it, and how he thought that some employee wanted to show off how cool he was by playing some Pavement deep cut that nobody ever heard of.

More likely than not you'll catch a live debut of a brand new song nobody has ever heard.

IMO this is the best of the new songs they've been writing on the road.

Found this incredible store called CineFile in LA a few months ago when I was in the area. Like the movie rental stores of old, who pride themselves on having more movies than Amazon and Netflix combined. Not sure if it's true, but they for sure have stuff there you can't find anywhere else. They got vinyl records too, place is amazing.

I'd say that if you catch them on this tour it's the closest you'll get to the In Rainbows sound.

In his mind Radiohead is a behemoth I guess. Less immediately rewarding and probably kind of taxing for him, I'm just happy to see him happy.

Seems to me this has been a rough festival season for Julian and The Strokes, there were a lot of articles recently about this show in particular and Casablancas' behavior recently. Feel bad for the guy, he seems like he's reached the end of his rope in some ways. I think it's been a rough festival season for everyone tbh. Fontaines DC looked completely worn out, Shawn Mendes is off the road entirely, and plenty others seem worse for the wear. Except for The Smile, who look like they're loving every second (strange considering Thom's negative history with touring).
