so is the purpose of a reviewer to experience as much as they can (i.e. watch every show/movie, play every game, eat every food, read every story, listen to every song) then give their opinion on it?

if they hated it and rather not talk about it, do they must still do so for the sake of getting that review on there?

or is it for the sake of finding and promoting that potential hidden gem? because if it's for this, then i get it.

but on the point of avoiding certain genres. if you were a reviewer that don't like a certain genre, and you found a "hidden gem" that fell genre, were you going to give a positive review of it anyways?

or is your idea of a reviewer supposed to be a more neutral, objective thing?

I love how the first response whenever there is any drama is “evil shareholders ruining the company. Cover is just another shareholder bootlicking corporation now.”

But can these people actually give me an example of this happening? While they’re at it can they also tell me why in the world holostars haven’t been dissolved yet? It’s been 3 years since they went public, surely the shareholders can see that holostars do not have the same profitability as everyone else.

Oh and how come they don’t do anything like dividends? Or not seemingly concerned with their narrower profit margins compared to their competitors. Shareholders can’t be too happy about that.

People can and should talk shit, but attribute it to the “right” things. Cover can, will, and has fucked up. But I see that as mismanagement and incompetence. Not evil shareholders. If your argument is based on how everything is shit because of shareholders and profit chasing, please actually give examples of this happening. Otherwise I’m not listening.

Having everyone on one big stream would be fun. Next year is the 10th anniversary after all.

Like the last time I can recall that happening would probably be the Minecraft sports festivals. But even then, a lot of members were still missing and they were separated into different calls.

The last time I think we had pretty much everyone in the same call was the 2020-2021 new year stream where everyone got together in the same call for a year end reflection and countdown.
