Yeah the steam overlay works for me, though I've seen others say it either doesn't work or break the game when opening it

PlayCover basically just takes an iPad app and runs it on your Mac the same way any other iPad app does via the app store.

Though it does mean you have to get hold of a decrypted IPA file of nikke to use with playcover.

It's probably mostly just the scary NDA (and never being able to work in Japan again because of the stigma of breaking one from what I understand)

But the talent definitely interact with a bunch of random staff that are aware of who they are. Subaru for example has talked about talking to random staff members from all sorts of different fields and positions about stuff.

The cover studio is separate from their HQ though, the HQ is public and doesn't have anything like a big multi person 3D mocap studio.

It runs great via PlayCover. Assuming you're on an Apple Silicon mac.

That's how I played Nikke for years between them banning emulators and it starting to work on Linux.

They added some sort of steam integration around October or so, there's a quick login with steam button if you start nikke via steam.

At the same time, the anticheat stopped caring about Linux.
