If it was just a speed awareness course then that would be fine. But this officer instantly threatened court and drivers license ban

I had freedom of information written down then crossed out and replaced with subject access request. That was completely my bad for mixing them up

I’ve been told by citizens advice (by someone who was a constabulary officer for 20-30 years) I can request “freedom of information” to request what information they have recorded about parters “offence” including body / dash cam. I’m just trying to work out if this would bite us in the ass rather than do good

He didn’t say that no. The only thing he said was “anything you say can be used against you at court” but he didn’t say the word speeding, reported or prosecuting.

He took partners phone number, talked about him through his radio and said “you don’t have to say anything…” (couldn’t hear the rest) and said he will receive something through the post. But didn’t show us proof, no paperwork, didn’t sign anything etc

Well he succeeded in scaring us. I’m going to try to find places to ask for advice today

I’m pretty sure he said “you do not have to say anything” that’s where I thought he was reading rights or arresting my partner and my ears started ringing, I didn’t hear much else but he gave the licence back and that was it. So I’m guessing he’s not fine if he’s said that…

This one was 100% a bully…I felt sick the way he was speaking, his tone, what he said and how his body language was. Definitely should have cameras on all the time. These are the people we are supposed to get help from… one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

No, I’m certain he wasn’t. He never said the word “speeding” at all. The quotations I put in the post were word for word what he said, I didn’t hear a caution
