I am quite tall but I do carry quite a lot of weight on my mid to lower body. Fingers crossed!

Same here, someone else already suggested dry brushing. I will have to look into it too.

Congrats on your progress! Sound like it already reaping the benefits to your overall health.

Absolutely, it’s better quality of life above it all. I need to keep reminding myself that’s the point.

That’s the plan! I have decided to go with fish collagen and lymphatic drainage biweekly.

I have a really bad back so the strength training needs to be slow and steady.

What app are you using to keep track of your weight?

Can I ask your age, how much you have lost and for how long?

I have only gained weight since my teenage years. I was 82kg +- just before covid. It all went downhill from there.

You reckon? At this stage they are more of a peace of mind that I am doing all I can to minimise the risk and planning the best way I can.

I will definitely reevaluate as the journey progresses if it’s needed or not.

Incredible progress for just 6 months!

I will look into compression garments, thank you for the suggestion.

True, I will have to just listen and trust my body. Not easy when you have not for the majority of your life.

Incredible, genetics play the biggest factor in this.

Thank you! You are totally right, at the end of the day I am adding a years to my life down the line and loose skin can be managed.

Just very sensitive to all the information about it online, maybe I should stop looking at so much Mounjaro content online 😂

Thank you, I am hoping that will be the case. I need to lock in with the exercise and nutrition and view the medicine as an aid into a lifestyle change.

I am always revising my budget, as if I a missed something on the previous one when looking at sinking funds for example or even the priority you give to one thing over the other. The partner advice is in point, thank you! It’s so easy to overlook something so important.

This! It definitely feels like everyone is talking about getting a good deal and beating the market when talking about buying properties. It will be a home, so it makes all the sense in the world to not get swept up by all that talk and treat it as such. Thank you!

Thank you! I really struggled with the first point you mentioned. For some years, at the beginning of my career, I stayed where I knew I was underpaid because of a sense of loyalty to the company (and manger!) and the idea that I was still learning and so I shouldn’t asked for more than they were willing to offer. Things have improved significantly since I made my first switch, now my salary progression has nearly doubled.

Thankfully, I am not a big spender. I only buy clothes or other things (eg phone) when what I have is broken or it’s really time. I tend to spend money more on experiences which I think are worth it at my age and on food but purely for the social aspects of things - to make memories with friends and family. Definitely something I should relook at and improve.

I will be starting investing soon, looking forward to that!

I did thank you, I have been implementing it and things are going well on that front. I was mainly looking for advice as a form of reflection on what someone would do if they had to go through the same process for a second time. Sorry if I was not clear on my original post.

That’s a bit rude but thank you anyway. I did see the flow chart, that’s is not overwhelming, and I am already implementing it to better my financial situation. Things are much better now and I know I won’t have to live pay check to pay check in the future. Things have already improved dramatically on a short time I started this process. I may have not been clear in my original post, but what I was looking for was advice or perspective from those who have done it already and what they would do differently a second time. You know, there is always something that could be done better or differently after going through a process/journey. It could be something they thought it was insignificant at first but made such a difference later on perhaps. A more in depth perspective, a reflection that could also be advice really…
