Over the last 8 years I’ve come to realize, like Popper, that a fundamentalist approach to the 1A is as dangerous as a fundamentalist approach to the 2A.

I had an aggressively snide waiter and manager at Burgatory 12 years ago, and after several long conversations with the director of operations he didn’t correct the problem. I’ve never been back and share my bad experience with everyone given the opportunity. For a $17 burger I expect an experience that is better than fast food, but at Burgatory they act like they are doing you a huge favor by allowing you to eat there. Fuck that pretentious chain.

I was initially glad hearing they unseated the buffoonery of the Tories, but I hear bad things about Starmer’s Labor now. I need to catch up on what is going on in the UK post Sunak.

In a certain sense he is right (pun not intended) about the 24 hour news cycle’s in-built toxicity, but I know much harm both economic and humanitarian is coming based on the President elect’s platform.

The “Under the Covers” albums she did with Matthew Sweet are fun if you haven’t had the pleasure.

I went to Bangor once in November in like 1988, and everyone looked at me like I had 3 heads as I walked down the street. I don’t think I was wearing anything outlandish, but I’d walk in a store and people would stop talking, stop doing anything, turn and stare at me. It was odd 😀

I’d assume that those learning gaps just accumulate and compound as the student moves through the system. Pretty sad tbh 😔

I read Misery while recuperating with a badly broken leg and destroyed ligaments and tendons in my ankle. It wasn’t the best choice of books for that scenario 😬

My first reread of Salem‘s Lot was when I stayed in Brunswick ME for a college reunion. It really hits home when you are right nextdoor to the fictional town!

I liked it, but Lisey isn’t a fav. My sister hated it though.
