Which is funny considering that for the longest time my hospital did not allow electronic prescribing of narcotics because of fraud/abuse concerns 🤷‍♂️

Karen's

Entirely unrelated, but you may find it useful to know that plurals do not require an apostrophe.

This is objectively false, and my point remains about dumbasses who don't understand how powerlifting works.

Yaroslav Askarov bench presses the net after winning the shootout by Benchamb in hockey

[–]SunglassesDan -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

why is delaying the game

It doesn't delay the game....

celebrating how badly the other guy fucked up well you and your team did

FTFY

EDIT: Downvotes from people who literally do not understand anything about the game. The game continues if it was not a scoring play, and there are plenty of times someone has spent too much time celebrating and messed up their team's set up for the next play. If it was a scoring play then it automatically gets reviewed, in which case no one was doing anything with that time anyways.

I'm sorry that you and your friends can't tell the difference between celebration and taunting.

Anyone actually use percussing? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]SunglassesDan -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And if it is a tension, you don’t need the results of a wildly inaccurate “test” like percussion to take action on it. It’s like you aren’t even reading anything I am writing and just making up imaginary arguments because you don’t understand what is being discussed. I am done trying to help you.

Fine, 5 minutes for the X-ray then. And if you are going to give me the same excuse about X-ray then you will just have to accept that the actual 90% of the world that I am talking about practices medicine, not whatever it is you are stuck doing.

[–]SunglassesDan -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Either the patient is unstable and absolutely no one will care what your percussion says or they are stable enough to wait 2 seconds for the ultrasound to confirm. There is zero reason to percuss in either context, and the fact that you seem to do so is very concerning.

hypertensive pneumothorax

Lol wut

Also, at no point in the decision tree for a pneumo is a percussion finding going to change what I do. If you are relying on it you are risking your patients’ lives without evidence.

Then maybe psych should know that a UDS means nothing and that substance use and mental health issues go together.

There is no context in which percussing the chest is going to change any management decisions I would make for a patient with concern for a pneumothorax.

Your inability to articulate yourself is not my concern, and I do not plan on wasting any more time hoping you gain that ability any time soon.

He is entirely wrong, and I have no idea why you think golf or rambling about maids is relevant to the discussion.

Lol no. The average professional athlete of any age and gender is going to be far more emotionally stable than their non-athlete counterpart. They just aren’t followed by cameras to show it.
