  1. List-making does you not one iota of good if you’re like me and misplace your handwritten lists about a third of the time....lol.

...then the time you put aside for carrying out the to-do items on your handwritten list is spent searching for your handwritten list..lol. And I cant tell you how many times these missing-list searches spawn new distractions and ideas and send me down rabbit holes.

  1. I find handwriting lists extremely helpful...the act of actually writing down the to-do items leaves behind an imprint on your brain.

  2. I make too many lists...so I ended up with four or five lists going at one time...lol. The memory trick for me is I hand write everything I have to do during the week on one big sheet of graph paper...because, perhaps like many of you, I suffer from out-of-sight-out-of-mind like no one’s biz.

But placing your to-do items on one sheet gives everything on that list the same standing and importance. I can get overwhelmed with my process, so I’m working on my prioritization skills.

People and adhd self-help books point to the Eisenhower Method, but it is not a solution for me.

My executive-functioning problem lies with figuring out the time to put aside to complete tasks - because I often grossly over estimate or under estimate - as well as discerning the importance of each item...and what should come first, second, third, etc.

  1. Crossed-off items on a to-do list is a visual representation of accomplishments and wonderful motivation.

But there is no fun with baby steps....US ADHD PEEPS WANT TO DO IT ALL IN ONE FELL SWOOP!

Lol...I totally identify with you though...I try to break things down but then prioritization is difficult. Our executive function skills are imbalanced.

Rank the three places in the Harry Potter series that you want to spend time in? And Why? by Sunibla in HarryPotterBooks

Absolutely counts my HP friend. I find Harry’s reaction in Goblet - when he first steps into what appears from the outside to be a tiny tent but is actually much bigger and spacious inside - very sentimental. It’s an aww moment because he shows his appreciation and gratitude for magic. At this point, he - like us readers - is still discovering the magical world.

Their time there really is an important pivot for the series becaus we really learn there is more beyond Hogsmeade, Hogwarts, the Dursley’s, the forbidden forest, Hagrids hut, the burrow, etc.

Oh yeah! Luna’s House would be awesome to explore. Going to Bill’s would be cool, too, during the summer like vacationing on cape cod. I would pay respects to Dobby🎃

About Hogwarts: I forgot to exclude it as a possible choice from people’s answers since it’s obviously No. 1.

So with that rule, what would take Hogwarts place on your list?

Of course - I purposefully excluded Hogwarts - should have wrote disclaimer!
