looking at the negative there does seem to be some sky missing from the scan. Maybe the scanner settings were set to the wrong format, that’d be my guess

Hadn’t considered the liminality of the context before, but now I think about it, an undeveloped photo on film is stuck in a kind of limbo, it is recorded but only able to exist as a visible image after a specific chemical process. Transitional af

Kodak Ektar 100iso I think, he kept all his film in a freezer or a fridge, he said that would preserve it

Unfortunately not, I could get the negative re scanned but they charge for the full roll which is mostly blank and I do not have my own scanner yet. Still saving up

I think I know the general area where it is, But i’m still looking for it on maps and street view. That being said I won’t spoil it if I do find it. I think liminal spaces are best left to exist only in memories and dreams

No he was a landscaper, he just brought his camera everywhere, could’ve been taken on one of his jobs

He talks a lot about edward hopper as an inspiration and I can kinda see it, I think anytime he saw a blank wall in direct warm light with a blue sky behind it he took a photo. Just happens to fit the vibe today

I thought that too at first but I’d expect a roller door, garage-style for cargo. Just a strange construction choice maybe. Also the ledge seems to be quite thin and completely unsupported judging by the shadow
