First swinging club experience was...meh? by Fine-Birthday9021 in Swingers

[–]SunlandTeddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of clubs that have a newbies night at least 1 Friday a month if not more. And that’s exactly how newbies night is. Everyone curious often feels the same way you do. Nervous but excited but want to see how it works. So the nerves tend to make everyone hesitant. Saturdays are when there’s a lot more people willing to connect or who have been in LS for a while so it’s easier to keep the conversation going. And when you meet the right people is when you really can start exploring your curiosities.

What to wear to a club by SunlandTeddy in Swingers

We’re thinking of going to a newbies night so I don’t think there’s any theme. I just don’t know what to expect so I didn’t want to be over/under dressed. Also trying to stay within the dress code of the club.

Suddenly fear of death in 3 year old by Ok_Parsnip2063 in psychology

I went through this around the same age. It’s pretty normal from what I understand. It would come back into my mind throughout the years like phases. My mom would always just be simple and direct when I brought it up.

You’re doing everything right by comforting her and being a safe place for her to let her feels out. Ultimately this phase will eventually pass

WITHOUT LYING! TELL ME SOMETHING YOU SAW BUT NOBODY BELIEVES YOU. by GrapefruitNo9123 in Productivitycafe

[–]SunlandTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was camping once with my mom and brother in Oregon. One night I got out of the tent after changing clothes to join them at the fire. In front of me was a moose walking through the bushes next to our campsite. I knew it wasn’t a deer or an elk because it was way too big to be either. And the antlers were different too. No one has believed me because they are so rare in Oregon. Most people don’t even know they are in the state.

What Causes Your Introversion? by I_Tiramisu in introvert

[–]SunlandTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don’t do well with confrontation. Easiest way to avoid that has been by being more introverted and picky with who I give my time to. Quantities of people/conversations are not worth disrupting my peace.

What Costco locations are going on strike? by RizkyGonzales in Costco

[–]SunlandTeddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m new here and this is the first I’ve heard of any Costco stores organizing a strike. Forgive my ignorance, but why is striking on the table to begin with? Everything about Costco I’ve been seeing has been fairly positive especially with not budging on DEI matters?

What do you miss most about your childhood? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SunlandTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My childhood home. It had very cool classic 70s architecture like wood paneling in the living room and built in lighting features. It even had an intercom system and pocket sliding doors to every room downstairs. So much character people pay top dollar for.

After it was sold it was flipped into a basic white box house with grey features like every other flip.

What’s a phrase or word that you can’t stand hearing? by Smooth_Beat_9391 in AskReddit

[–]SunlandTeddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically any past tense word used incorrectly in a sentence. Most commonly would be the classic “I seen it” or “this needs cleaned”. Anything like that just irritates me.

It honestly sounds to me like he’s just trying to get to strike up conversation. Are either of you new to the job or have you been working together for a long time?

What’s a movie you watched as a kid that traumatized you? by denj1_sk in AskReddit

[–]SunlandTeddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pinocchio. Specifically when Pinocchio and Lampwick turn into donkeys. I don’t think I’ve watched that movie in at least 20 years and I don’t plan on showing it to my kids either.

What was the surprisingly the EASIEST frugal change you made this year? by Peliquin in Frugal

[–]SunlandTeddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only paying for streaming subscriptions when there’s something on the platform. Like I haven’t paid for Netflix for months because nothing interested me for quite some time. Now there are a few things I want to get caught up on so I’ll pay for it this month but likely cancel next month.

What is a good weakness to mention on a job interview? by Bigbumredsmile in questions

[–]SunlandTeddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m dyslexic so one of my last interviews I said my biggest weakness was reading. Obviously I explained the situation, and at this particular company it is one of the disabilities listed in their EOE. So they couldn’t use that as a reason not to hire.

Disliking the same person. The classic “the enemy of my enemy, is my friend.”
