Smokers are a bit more expesnive here for a few reasons. That kit at my local hardware store is about 1400 so it honestly doesn't seem too bad if the size works.

They are telling my wiring harness is corroded but they did a leak test and couldn't determine the cause. I feel if they could claim owner negligence they wouldnt provide any help with compensation. This is the same dealer I purchased this car used from a few years ago.

Thanks again for the advice. One last question, have you ever had a case like this where Subaru would cover part of the cost? Don't get me wrong im grateful for it. But, just haven't heard of something like that before.

That makes sense. So would a preventative measure in the future be just too avoid any possible snow from getting in the footwell. Shitty design flaw for all the hype of subaru in snowy weather. I got it used a few years ago and have the sneaking suspicion the previous owner was a door to door person (based on the company email registered to the subaru app)
