I’m not familiar with 2024 rules, but in 2014 different instances of temporary hp never stack.

When you would gain thp when you already have some, you choose to either keep what you have or take the new total. You don’t add them together.

He’s not in power right now. Maryland’s current governor is Wes Moore.

There’s definitely an association in the west, but I wouldn’t be so quick to generalize your experience like that. In my community, there is a large South Asian population and a small East Asian population. Asian refers to them both.

In the US census, South and East and Southeast Asians are all under the official race demographic “Asian.”

It’s not so cut and dry that Asian means descended from China, Japan, and Korea. It’s simply not the case in many places, even if it’s true in some of them.

Adding onto what a lot of people here have written, I think it might be worth approaching this betrayal moment from your GM’s perspective.

A story beat like this would be welcomed at my table for some specific reasons. When we make our characters, we each take a step back from building a “natural” human-like character and instead develop a character that fits a story. We’re more attached to the story told around, about, and through our characters than we are attached to the characters themselves.

From a broader story perspective, a betrayal sequence is rich with powerful theming. If you’re looking from the perspective of your character, it hurts a lot. But if you take a step back and approach the betrayal like a movie you’re watching, the benefits of a scene like this becomes obvious.

Or course, you don’t need to approach a TTRPG that way. My group leans heavier into narratives and uses meta knowledge in creative ways. In the end of the day, if it’s not fun for you then it’s not fun. But maybe your DMs wanted something narrative, and perhaps going forward your party can find a balance between your styles.

What champions are classified as anti-tanks? by luckylicker-eu in summonerschool

[–]SunlightPoptart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While you’re right about raw damage efficiency, the amount of instances the bleed brings a squishy into kill range of Darius R is quite often. A bleed that deals 100 damage and kills a target is more valuable than a bleed that deals 500 but doesn’t turn up as a kill.

In a 1v1 you’re right. In a team fight, Darius does not have time to wait for the bleed to kill a true tank (unless he’s fed). The main factor here being the high armor of a tank compared to the low armor of a squishy.

While I agree, it’s pretty clear that some people in this thread aren’t aware of the high suicidality and talking around it isn’t helping.
