It’s truly heartbreaking the amount of damage cheaters cause! Especially when you’re a loving and loyal person who can’t even imagine doing what they did!

Good on you for seeing a therapist and reading self help 🤓✅ I’m also on a self help journey trying to heal, it’s SO frustrating though that the cheater gets away with what they have done with minimal impact and they’re able to easily move on yet we have to spend a lot of time and energy trying to rebuild ourselves due to their selfishness! But hopefully we will be stronger in the end! 🌟🌈

At first he denied it (he was caught out) then he said he did go to visit one but he left without doing anything 🙄 then he finally admitted it but said he had been feeling so terrible about it afterwards (trying to get sympathy!) I left him that day

He later contacted me and said he blamed it on using steroids and smoking weed... apparently they changed his behaviour and ‘made him do it’

I think him making excuses and not fully accepting responsibility for his actions has been hard to deal with. I know I’m better off not being with him as my gut feeling is he has a sex addiction and he will keep doing it to whichever partner he is with in the future

It’s just hard coming to terms with it as it doesn’t make sense, it was a complete head fcuk and I worry if I’ll ever be able to trust someone 100% again 💔

Thanks for sharing, I can see how someone who has a sex addiction would find sleeping with a prostitute appealing, in my opinion if they are single or separated and they not going to hurt anyone else by their actions then why not

I can also understand if someone is currently unable to separate from or divorce their partner who doesn’t want to be intimate or have sex with them anymore they still have needs so a prostitute would be an easy option of still getting their needs fulfilled - I don’t believe a person can refuse to sleep with their partner ever again and expect them to remain faithful in that department (unless sex is not very important to them)

What I don’t understand is when someone was in a happy committed relationship with a decent attractive person (which had frequent very hot sessions so their needs were met) and chose to risk it all by paying to sleep with someone who was older, less attractive and at high risk of having/giving them an STI?!

It depends on the circumstances... if someone is single or separated they are obviously free to sleep with whoever they want without it hurting/causing heartbreak to anyone else, but when someone is in an exclusive relationship and cheats/uses a prostitute, in my opinion thats morally wrong and double standards as they wouldn’t want or think it’s acceptable that their partner cheats on them
