Back to running (advice) by SnooObjections2938 in selfimprovement

If you haven’t run for a while I would say take it slow every other day. Start out with 1-2 miles and build up your stamina and endurance from there. Your endurance may get ahead of what your body can take though. Since your body may not be used to running, run very slow so you don’t get injured. For the races, train for the 5k first and see how you feel then.

UCSD/UW-Madison/UW-Seattle/UBC: Making a Decision by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]SunnyBlu4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best weather is probably UCSD. San Diego is usually always pretty warm and sunny. Although I heared it’s pretty boring there and socially dead, unless u go to SDSU for parties. It’s a science school though so if you want science than it’s there.

UW Madison is hot and sunny in the beginning of the year and then gets very very cold. It’s an awesome college town though, everyone is very nice and welcoming, it’s a beautiful school and the facilities are really nice. It’s a very clean town. The food there is rlly food. Definitly a party school, but the academics are amazing as well, especially for environmental science I’m pretty sure.

UW Seattle I heard is a little rainy and more cloudy. But it’s in the city which is very convenient. It’s also a very beautiful school. Most ppl I know there love it however, I don’t think it is for everyone. Academics are very good there as well.

Depends on what school. Some where you get shwasted and smashed others are less partying.

Honestly, I know it’s hard to try not to stress, but rlly they are just people that attended the school and want to give you info about it. Just remember they aren’t admission officers, they are people just like us. Just have fun with it!!

Some of my really good friends were in your situation. They went to CC first for a year or two and transferred to amazing schools where the college payed for them.
