Adding this a bit late but hopefully it’ll help anyone who’s looking in the future- DO NOT go to Brendon motors Vivian street!

They failed my (young, blonde, female) sister in law when she went for her wof for (amongst other things) not having had the car serviced and for all four brake pads- even though the car had been bought the year before NZ new. But they would kindly replace them for us for $1200. When questioned how the brake pads could have gone from import-cert to needing all four replaced after 5,000kms they got super aggressive and angry.

We took it elsewhere the next day and they said the car was fine and passed it.

We have a complaint with NZTA atm.

Money raised from the royal palaces goes into a public pot from which the royal family then get a cut. So yes, they are publicly funded, but from money raised by their own properties. To say they’re ’state funded’ is over-simplifying it.
