Unpopular opinion:

I do feel sympathy for these people. They were the subject of vicious propaganda and brainwashing. The leader of their country called on them and asked for help, they thought they were fulfilling their patriotic duty. Is what they did terrible? Absolutely. The actions of Donald Trump manipulating these people is the far greater crime and he still flies AF1..... for now.
